haha UV lights in that car would look nuts... but on a more serious note, I reckon that same job in a glossy silver would be nice.

Hmm, thanks for your opinions though, I'm still in two minds over it.

If you haven't made up your mind, then u dont like it, though you don't hate it....

But most importantly.... you don't like it! Well that's what I've gathered from your responses.....

Don't settle on second best... Pay for what you want, don't just get what u paid for.. (make sense? )

Yeah, I know.........go with you you like....... I'm conservative by nature, but I can just hear the rice boy in me, yearning to come out!

Thansk again for the comments though, its all constructive. I guess I was hoping that somebody could give a great argument to convince me which way to go.

I think what Dr Sigmund Freud here is trying to say is that he dun like it nu should get what you originally wanted.

Not that I dun like it, but when I am looking at getting something for myself, If I dun like it right away, and I am in 2 minds, it is b/c sub-conciously I am trying to convince myself to get it for whatever reason it may be (eg: can't b f'd looking anymore, haven't found anything better, etc). In this case I think it is b/c it has been done already, and although he doesn't DISlike it, it is not what he really wanted...

I've done this, before and many other people have before....

But if I were in this position, I would be happier with a white dash rather than a broken dash! If it is growing on you, then keep it till you're sick if it, then get what u really want....

I'd wait for the new paint dude. That white is just way to out there man. But I reckon it would look choice with the gun metal. Plus you will probably find yourself constantly cleaning the white. My mate did the same as you with yellow (spew) and you can see where it has worn, it looks tragic. Another reason I would go for a darker colour.

Being rice is not about manual or automatic!!!

In fact, manual cars is more rice than automatics because you can change the gearknob easily with the one flashing lights, etc....

Silver goes nicely with std trim, but that cream colour is a bit showy and look out of place with your std seat/door trim. If you retrim your door insert and seat upholstery with cream leather or vinyl then it'll go along very nicely... and it'll look that you're doing the whole lot, not just a patch up job.

haha, looks like a piano or black and white minstril or something!

Seriously though, i'd get rid of it and do something like a gunmetal grey like you said or satin black. I reckon if you are gonna go 'rice' then do it with silver/chrome. Each to their own though.....

I'm gonna get mine done soon too, two pack?

And what did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
