went today and it was prob around its best at about 3 ish

so we could aim to meet nearby at 1ish, have a chat then cruise over to the spit together, if someone from bris wants to work out the times for a meet up that way be my guest, think we should work it for a 1ish to 1.30 meet out the front of oz fair heading over to the spit when we feel like it

good to see everyone is behind it

Can I crash it next weekend? I'll probably be heading there for a look before going away.

yeah whatever, maybe when we get to the spit let all the stags park in a line just for aesthetics/pics, no offence just would be good to have some pics of some of SEQ's stags in a row

Sure thing. Totally can understand that. If its the other way round (skyline photo shoot), you'll do the same. Hasnt seen Dan since that failed Harrys night.

just look at what you have, we have the same gearbox/diffs/shocks :D

Went for an arvo sesh this afternoon at the spit. Went to come home about 4 ish, the traffic was backed up from the roundabout down outside the yacht club all the way to the spit. It was as packed well packed as a nuns kebab up there today. So i had to go for another surf and left at 6.30, traffic was alot better by this stage. Between 4 and 4.30 (when i left to go for another surf) it was at a standstill.

Us brisbane guys would be best beeing in and out before 3.30ish IMO. Otherwise arrive about 3 and leave at 5ish or later and perhaps get some sunshet shots over the broadwater with all the stags in tow.

Tom: Hahaha yea pretty much. I'll see if I can gather another few more skylines for it.

I would organize something but I'll be there with my wife etc. and maybe dropping them somewhere before heading to the spit or Peters. I'll see if anyone else's keen on this Thursday when we meet at the car wash. If anyone's interested, we meet every thursday night at chapel hill baskin robbins (7:30), southside meet for dinner (same time), and at the end we'll meet up freedom carwash along logan road at eight mile plains (around 9:30-10).

This is what I propose for Brizzy Boys.

>Meet at Springwood Macas at round 11:45.

>Leave Macas for the GC round 12:00.

>Get to Oz Fair round 1:00.

Sounds like a plan indeed Matt, see you there!!

+1 here! (and the GF)

Ill see matt at the Springwood maccas at 1130. (ill be driving from Springfield lakes)

Im glad i didnt claybar my car for nothing. (worst job ever)

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
