haha i wish it was that easy, i should have explained it better. whatever parts he has spare. which all seem to be upgrades on my current system.

having an ex drifter for a mate is a bonus.

doesnt help him having expensive taste in alcohol though haha

before you go upgrading your injectors or turbo you will need an aftermarket engine management system lol....so investing in a PFC or a haltec or what ever is a good idea....some people even get a RB20 ECU remapped to suit a RB25....or they get a VG30 ECU remapped to suit a RB25...speak to Jeff in regards to that as he is the man with the know how

yeah someone else has reccomended the vg30 ECU path, and i think my mate has one laying around or i may be mistaken. cheers for the help guys

not a bad idea but i would go with the Power FC if i were you mate....got on in the car and its damn brilliant....works a treat and most tuners love them

if you dont have a hand control for the pfc, then the cop would need to pull off the kick panel and know what a "Power FC" is.

Or you can put the standard computer cover on the PFC, then Regency probably wont even know. I know someone who has passed Regency with one :rant:

The PowerFC only supports manual cars (excluding Toyota). It will work on an automatic car however it will not handle gear changes and simply keep the throttle nailed during a gear change. This will result in jerky gear changes and stress placed on the gearbox. The factory ECU during a gear change will communicate with the auto box and drop timing, ignition to ensure a smooth change. For those wishing to use PowerFC with auto you should consider a mechanical auto gearbox instead of an electronic. The PowerFC should work fine with a mechanical gearbox such as power glide, transbreak etc.

This is because the mainstream ECU's in Nissan etc rely on the main cars' ECU for gear logic change control and functions. Cars such as the Toyota have a seperate ECU for the gearbox change logic and control so it's not affected. Apexi chose not to port the Automatic gearbox logic code (as its very long and complex) into the PowerFC because I suspect they found its simply not worth it & too complicated. You can buy an Automatic PowerFC for a Toyota Chaser for example and it has auto logic control under SETTING, you can set the shiftmap, ramp up speeds etc as it has the code to interact with the Toyota AUTO ECU that is seperate to the main ecu. So in summary - Auto PowerFC's exist & work but only for Toyota. We have seen quiet a few Auto R33 Skylines with manual PowerFCs - some report they work fine etc and there is no difference - do so at your own risk.

Thanx for the info damo is there anything you would reccomend to run on the auto as a replacement for a pfc or is it pretty much jus buy a manual car lmao??

I fitted the box myself with Luke's help. Took our time and ensured we did it right and it went in without a problem.

The SAFC (super air flow controller) allows you to control fuel ratios (to a limit) and the SITC (super ignition timing controller) allows you to make timing changes. If you can only get one, get the SAFC first as sorting out your fueling issues should come first. Tho the SITC is cheaper, but harder to come by.

    • Details: Turbo Borg Warner EFR 9180 with 1.05 rear housing Upgraded TurboSmart integrated BOV Sanded and powdercoated compressor cover in gloss black Elbow welded with wiggins clamp Speed Sensor(Not included) (Can include oil drain(heat wrapped + titanium intake pipe with almost new filter for a tad extra). Manifold: 6 Boost RB26/30 twin scroll manifold  e-MAP ports drilled into both scrolls(I was using the TAARKS EMAP KIT) Turbo is in excellent condition. Always used Penrite 15w50 Racing oil(Changed less then 2000ks). Also using the Turbosmart OP regulator and filter. Downpipe: 4inch Stainless steel with VBand inlet and outlet clamps(included) Heat wrapped Dual ports for Dyno/Wideband usage Will throw in free 2.5 inch intercooler pipe(2.5inch From turbo outlet to 3.5 inch intercooler) - Powder coated black. Turbo made 563rwkw on mainline hub dyno at around 24-25psi boost - Pump fuel. Will def make over 600kw on e85. Didn't bother as my e-MAP was through the roof with my setup sitting past the choke line. I have a cnc ported and fully built head on my 3.2. Turbine speed saw max of around 109k rpm. I'm running this on my R32 GTR, with AC, and the original power steering pump. The manifold clears the AC lines, ABS, and everything else. Although I had new AC lines because I just wanted new ones and I heat wrapped them as well. This will make more power on a slightly lower capacity motor with a higher PR. And I have since upgraded to a G45-1500. Have pics and videos if need be.  Absolutely nothing wrong with setup. Turbo is in perfect condition. No shaft play or oil leaks at all. All the work was professionally done. The transient response of this is fkn amazing. I cannot rave more about this turbo. If I wasn't chasing 4 figures, I would have kept it. $5000 NZ.
