Cad Files

hey all

if anyone needs cad files generated, give me the dimensions/drawings and i can do a dxf file cheap. dxf files are what are commonly used for laser cutting and water jet cutting etc.

i also have t3 flange (normal and split pulse), t4 (normal and split pulse), t25 and gtr turbine outlet flange. all dxf files

Nice work mate, especially on the turbine engine! The most complex thing I have done is a CNG injector, normally I deal with big steel structures

Which package are you using?

You can do basic CFD (I think the plug in is called Floworks Express or similar) in Solidworks (only single body if you have the basic package, or multibody if you have premium)

If you have all the dimensions etc, it really should only take a couple of minutes to draw up an exhaust flange...

I don't disagree.

Too often I've been involved in jobs like that though that take 1hr just to measure up and discuss.

both ^^ are valid points. then you get the people that change their minds on what they said they wanted and try to blame you for doing it wrong.

also take into consideration that a lot of laser cutting companies have a minimum charge. same part. 1 off $80. 20 off $80.

Hey,

Ive just started doing 3d cad work and basic CFD. I have the software etc to do more complex CFD but I have just been modelling air flow through cooler piping n such. Want to eventually model plenums and exhaust manifolds. Im not interested in this as a profession or anything, Just a bit of a way to put off uni work.

If anyone has any spare dimensions for flanges, 25 and 26 inlet runners, plenum specs etc would you be able to share?

Im not trying to steal a thread or any business or anything, I just want to get better at modeling real things.

so PLEASE if someone has some dimensions for something I am all ears
