The throttle body cable I'm having problems with. Any tips, also I bought one of these plenums with 80mm throttle body if that changes anything.

Would like to note though that the throttle body has issues and won't close fully when throttle released, it stays open at about 30%. And a professional performance shop installed it to...

Hi,

The throttle cable should have enough slack - have you tried not using the bracket included with the adaptor?

In regards to the TB, is it not closing fully because the cable restricts it or does it get stuck? Also, do you have the 80mm TB with our logo etched on it or is the earlier version?

Hey Brendan,

You mentioned that you also have a plain cast alloy version (not polished or electroplated) which would suit me nicely .. how much cheaper are these?

Thanks,

Hey brendan, do you know if these manifolds will fit a R32 RB25DE head? using this head with a RB30 bottom end with a phat turbo hanging off the side and how much is the complete kit (plus postage)with adaptor for standard TB (NOT polished) to 6056 please?

Hi,

These won't suit the RB20DE - sorry.

An entire kit to suit the R333 RB25DET in plain cast finish is $495 incl. delivery. This comes with the TB adaptor as well.

Brendan please re read my question above^^^ , will your Manifold fit a R32 RB25DE (head only, to go on a RB30 bottom end)? i know it wont fit a RB20DE, smaller ports etc to a 25DET

regards Steve

Sorry misread that question.

Same story with the RB25DE different bolt pattern from what I have been told to the Turbo version so it would not fit.

Have checked with my mate at nissan and he has sent me some pics of both 32 and 33 manifolds, the gasket on both have the same part # but as i have both motor types at home i will check/swap and see if there is any fitting issues and take it from there

Hi,

If you can do that it would be great, as you are the second person that has told me that the gasket part numbers are the same for both so technically it should fit.

Please let me and everyone else know.

ive checked this with the engines i have at home, the RB25DE has far more common parts with the RB20DET than the RB25DET, ie top feed injectors, same stud pattern on the intake (albeit with slightly bigger ports on the DE) the RB25DET intake will NOT fit the RB25DE head . . .different bolt pattern- different size/shaped ports, only the water jackets line up! (can supply photos if you wish)Brendan- does your aftermarket manifold come with provisions for bolting up the idle air controls , brake booster vacuum port etc?

hi there, could you send me a pic of the plain cast aluminium plenum please, semi interested thumbsup.gif

The cast finish ones are proving to be very popular - plenty of bling bling chrome ones still in stock!

Hey mate just curious do you do these for the RB20DET aswell, got a motor coming for a track car would love a front facing manifold. Also does the wiring loom alow for the relocation of the throttle bodie? ie. TPS wiring length ect. Cheers. Nice looking manifolds btw ;)

Hey buddy,

You are about 1.5 months too early mate :D

We will be getting delivery of the same style plenum - front facing for the RB20DET in about 1.5-2 months time.

These plenums are a direct fit and will work with the original throttle body, not sure about loom will need to wait for it to come in.

Cheers mate well i shall have the engine in about a month so will be great timing :P Roughly the same price im guessing. Shall add some bling and performance to the track car :) not to mention simplifying plug changes :)

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
