great vid Stu and congrats on the time mate! truely sensational to run a flat 15. The 50's were really working for you and Ovi. Whata mess the r35 is with those dunlops, yuk. I was waiting for them to come on in that first session, and they never did (all day). I've never experienced the r35 move arund the track like that, and essentially refuse to turn in. Dunlop 290/68/18's (D21's) - don't bother! Back to the michelins next round.

Good stuff mate, will most likely fly up for the weekend so will definetly come and say hi.

So what sort of times has the R33 done at EC anyway??

1.44.19 at EC first start after sorting oil issues, on Tein Suspension (since updated) expecting bit better (cant say too much) Please call through

As per, our chats over the weekend, I'm happier with Yoki's at the moment, this can change with every series of tyre, my personal choice of 10 years was Dunlop, anyway's, in 34 years of bits and pieces of various motorsport, I say the profile of the tyre killed your moment!! Bloody electronics.

Awesome Vid Stu!

that 33 is just awesome the corner speed looks amazing!

and poor lil mx5 being swamped by 2 GTR's hehe

Dont feel bad, least I knew where you were going, here's 2 Beamer's one of that feel's worse than you. Must say the other took a bit of work, and also they are having a fair go - I think its all good, its a shame we are getting less tracks and trying to talk more people into going!

To all, if you are not in a club, join one, have a go, enjoy, have fun. But at the worst WIN!! Go Nissan - Ha Ha. :)

I'd say after doing a 1:43 flat at the island you'd be closer to a flat 1:41 at EC, don't want to put the pressure on though!!!

Will definetly say hi if I make it...

P.S cool vid!!!

Will do - what one can do, by all means come and let yourself known!!

Sure is my little R100, Runs mid mount 13B PP around 200-220rwhp, Supra Box, Hilux diff with rear floating hubs. Is a Historic Sports Sedan was built back in 1977 and still runs a full chassis.

Heres a few more images.

That is unbelievably awesome :)

I recall seeing pics of it in the "Show us your Racing machines' thread a while ago. Does it get pretty hot in there? Any vids? Would love to hear that 13B PP at full revs! I use to have a 12APP in an RX-3 and the sound was glorious.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
