r33 gtst brakes n rotors on an r31

Recommended Posts

R33 discs and calipers will bolt onto jap r31 struts only (off the HR31). You can put jap struts into aussie r31s but I hear they are hard to find? (try justjap?)

Rears I have no idea.. but i doubt they'll go onto an aussie 31.

yea im sure they will fit the hr31s,you can even put brembos on the hr31s.

But why wouldnt they fit the aussie r31s?

Why wouldnt they fit Oz 31's?

For the reason in the post made before your one. You need Import Struts

and then the dics's re-drilled to suit the 4 stud pattern, or do a hub conversion and make it a 5 stud.

And as for putting Brembo's on them... yeah you can put them on there, but you'd need a custom rotor as there is not enough clearance with the 330mm GTR discs.

Otherwise you can use spacers, but i would be advising strongly against that cheaper... and potentially nastier option.

How do i know all this?

I have a 5 stud conversion and R33-t/32GTR brakes on my HR31GTS-R

And R32GTR wheels.

To get the wheels to properly clear the strut i need a custom hat as part of a two piece rotor.

But then, i only do things correctly. And that costs $$$

You may need a spacer between the hub and rotor with the 33 parts to make the rotor line up with the calliper correctly.

As above, they bolt up to the HR31 front strut/hub assembly. Find these, and you're set.

For big rears, i have a custom setup on my aussie 31. PM me if you want info on it.

the spacer as i said... can be avoided.

but it will cost you $$$.

and im not talking $500 either.

For the rear, i have R32 i think... or even R31 Imports... cant remember.

but i chucked a slotted DBA 4000 club spec rotor on the rear a few months back.

And i have not had $$$ to do the front yet.

all i can say is the rear almost out brakes the fronts :P
