well I do try :ermm:

you free tomoz morning mate, I can cruise down and have a geez.

noobs already get f**k all runs, now with all in a single file its gonna be f**ked.

i never did tandems so im not fussed about that, i just used to go to the front as if to run someone, but either go way ahead of them of well behind, just to avoid lining up

someone

what the f**k is with this no tandem shit im reading?

links?

it's just for the newbie group, as i said on NS, if ur good enough to be tandeming ur good enough to be in group 1 so i dont see how its really going to effect most people, just the guys who go out in bashers without much skill and do sketchy tandems (which will be sad to see go, so much entertainment lol). unfortunately being in Aus, every crash takes a toll on our sport, anyone on the sidelines would have seen what was pretty f**king hektik out on the track last time. if we continue having sketchiness like that, cams will crack down on us.

my proposal is we need flaggers on corner 1, but unfortunately that costs $$. what was happening there was a very serious risk, even i will admit that, people sitting stationary on turn 1, while people fly in at over 90k's, a good T-bone at decent speeds will kill you, if not leave u very immobile. this is a risk with tandems, especially newbie tandems, but it's mostly a risk with people simply coming in and not paying attention, which 90% of the time is what happens.

they're like police/gov tho, it's only worth improving safety if it doesnt cost anything.

realistically there should be 3 groups, and improved communication/efficiency.

a newbie group for those that have only been out a few times, no tandems, no inflated ego's, just a session for those who have bugger all confidence and dont wanna be out with the better guys who have the confidence, but not the skill.

a intermediate group, for those who have been out to a few days, have some confidence under their sleeve, but not that skilled yet. can tandem, no more than 2 cars tho.

then a advanced group, tandems, up to 4 cars together.

groups need to be released immediately after the last car in the previous group passes the pits, the car should be called over the radio so they know the last car in that group that needs to go through. if a tyre stack has been knocked over off the track, not an obstacle, then f**kING LEAVE IT.

I think you should propose this to clem? Saying it on a forum isn't going to get any action so take it to a higher authority.

Were the customers at the end of the day, he is running a business. Now that tailem bend is open - we have an alternative which isn't forcing us only to slide at Mallala. If you can see a way that clems fpos business can be run better I think it should be said. Wouldn't he want that, the more cars we can run through on a prac night, obviously the higher volume of people will keep returning because the wait times will drop drastically, and then that flamin mongrel gets more money too.

Tell that stingy flamin mongrel to reach into his deep pockets with his short fkn arms. Your word would have more credability surely Nisskid? I totally agree with everything you've said above

Ring him, chew his ear off, do it.

K, go! :)

This is why I really enjoyed D-School. All the boys were out there, they all had their walky's all over the track and they were consistantly letting another person go after the next bend simply because there was a few of them out there and the communication was great and the day went smoothly ALL DAY. Fkn hell Clem flamin mongrel, open your eyes and listen to your clientel

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
