yes exactly most of us on here have had cars 5 years or more and i like your offer ta

Didn't quite work for us. Tracy and I had certain cars planned and 2 of them have been sold now ... good thing we didn't formally plan for it just yet.

:)

congratulations :( We wanted Stagea's for our wedding last year (was our first anniversary yesterday :) ) but couldn't get them so we had silver r33 and r34 and they looked great.

We got the 33 from a guy here, 4door_Sleeper. He was a really nice guy and used his car in a lot of weddings so I'd ask him. The 34 we got from a guy who lived around the corner. My mum knew we wanted "one of those cars with the big round circle tail lights" lol and when she saw him at the shops she followed him home to see if we could also use his. Luckily he said yes and didn't call the cops to have her arrested for stalking...

I strongly recommend getting a 4 door over a 2 door car - unless the girls want to be all crumpled walking down the aisle :ermm:

Heh, I dont really know that theres that much difference between a 4 door and 2 door skyline, theres sod all legroom in the back regardless of how u cut it

that said Kellie, if u need a white 32 gtr around the time and im available, i'd be happy to help - but pity the poor sod in the rear? 2 door skylines would be good for delivering the main portions of the bridal party (bride/groom, best man, matron of honor) etc and leave the entourage to stretch hummers and statesmans ;P

thanks guys i really appreciate it and yeah i think a 4 door for me is easyer as the dress i have picked out is massive i know for sure there will be 2 R35 GTR's at the front! there are 3 brides maids and 3 grooms men and me dont want anyone in the 35's so there will be 4 cars needed

problem with using skylines as bridal cars is u need a forklift to remove the bridal party without screwing their dresses up....

go the bentley

-D

really do you think it will match up?

no idea eh, but the bigger the bridal party, the bigger the ballast yo

if you are going to use skylines, then take into account the absolute joke that is the legroom in either the gtr or gts models, whether they be 2 or 4 door - the space is still laughable. if ur bridesmaids are fat then you're going to have some real problems

and even if theyre skinny miranda kerr types, they'll still need someone to open the door for them and pullthem out the car (which if ur after old school wedding, thats an act of chivalry and it makes a bridesmaids fundament precipitate...)

so yer, stick to tradition imho, put the grooms party in black cars, brides in white, and have an escort for both parties, to open the doors, help them out of those stupidly low jap cars, and escort them up the aisle...

and make sure theres loads of booze for the drivers ahah

-D

oh yeah the people lending their cars will be invited to the wedding and a little pressy will be given t them as well as payment for the use if required

heh i dont think a present is required for volunteers, as long as u give them something to munch of while they kick back and relax :)

bridal party food = good shiznit

-D

yes but the presen is something they will love for ever

because hey will be invited to the wedding they will get the food and drinks some will be invited anyway

you're going to give me a life size r2 d2 with every police academy movie in its memory banks?

praise allah!

you have obviously never done a wedding in a 4 door,

again having never done a wedding your commenting on things you know nothing about, i know YOU may have sat in the back of a 4 door and no offense your a larger sort of guy you may not of fitted comfortably, but my self im 6'1 and i fit easy in the back of mine.

secondly a good chauffeur will open the door for his occupants we might not be professional but if someone is having a wedding is it a little to ask they wear a suit and open a door

i charge $200 for a wedding service i think a little pressy is more than appropriate if full payment isnt being made try getting a 57 chev wedding car you'll be looking @ $150/hr and then mileage too if you go out the CBD

I just love it how you assume in all your blind arrogance that I've never done a wedding before in a 4 door.. Assume and you make an ass out of u and me.

Using my dads black mercedes was bad enough, and they have tonnes of legroom...

Regardless of 2 door or 4 door, theres stuff all room in the back of skylines, period. And maybe you might be skinny, but I've seen flower girls with more bulk than you Steve, and considering the dresses are somewhat elaborate, they could possibly use any help thats offered to exit the vehicle in a dignified manner.

You're right about the chauffer opening the door, that would be ideal if they could do that.

    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way.
