Anyway ...

Kellie, sorry I didn't take your calls last night (and your txt messages) ... I was in the middle of training last night.

Have you considered using Stageas? Or are you content on Skylines only? I reckon a nice set of white 2 door R34 Skylines would be tops.

:P

My appoliigies cant spell dam t9, sorry for my ass, i fail to see how i make an ass out of you also. The wedding you did in a 33?

naw a mercedes benz ML 320, big 4wd sob - point im getting at is that had heaps of legroom and it was hard enuff for them to get out of cause they had to grab the hem of their dresses while disembarking

Wow Cheddar, that 34 4 door looks real different with the quad-exhaust... but the rims look like they have intense dish?!

yeah, it was a different look huh. It was ridiculously loud though. The rear rims had a fair amount of dish, the fronts not so much. He got white wall tyres put on for our wedding too.

And Dohmar (can't be bothered quoting all your posts) we had 4 door skylines and none of us had any trouble getting in or out. I obviously had a fairly big dress on compared to the bridesmaids but I had plenty of room to spread the dress out on the back seat and no trouble with leg room what so ever.

The girls in the 34 also had to sit around a car seat needed for the flower girl and had stacks of room. My husband is 6'5 and had no trouble sitting in the back seat on our way to the reception. I'm sorry but I can't work out where you're getting this idea that there's no leg room in the back of a 4 door skyline.....

And both guys were more than happy to wear a black suit and open the doors/help us out. You don't have to hire a professional chauffeur to get that service.

Kellie, if you can get some nice white 4 door skylines to go with your Jag's it will look awesome. It won't matter if they're not the same model car. Just seeing a whole line of white wedding cars with ribbons will look fantastic!

i dont know what your complaining about Ben but i find that my 33, my cousins 32 and 34 all have great legroom for the people on the rear seat.......not as much as you will find in a commodore but then its like comparing apples to mangos

LOL you guys,

What Ben is meaning that yes there is leg room no doubt and I don't mind the back seat in a 32/33/34 whether it be coupe or 4door but imagine trying to get in and out of one while a brides maid wearing a tight dress, massive heels etc without showing the crowd what she had for breakfast especially a bride with a massive dress.

The grooms men would suit the skylines fine imho,

Heh, I dont really know that theres that much difference between a 4 door and 2 door skyline, theres sod all legroom in the back regardless of how u cut it
if you are going to use skylines, then take into account the absolute joke that is the legroom in either the gtr or gts models, whether they be 2 or 4 door - the space is still laughable.
Regardless of 2 door or 4 door, theres stuff all room in the back of skylines, period.

Pretty sure he's saying there's stuff all leg room

Once and for all - 4 x GTRs all models NO PROBS with bridal party in and out and all sizes of people were in my bridal party. With bridesmaid dresses everything but a cruise ship is a little more difficult to get in and out of.

Thats the point I was trying to make. Weezy knew where I was coming from

ok brides maids are wearing chiffon dresses to the floor very flowy so there will not be any breakfast showing lol

and i agree with steve a payment is a must and a pressy as well you cant just assume that because you know them /of them that it will be done for nothing if you wanted to hire any other car it would cost money so there is where the pressy comes i cause its just that bit more appreciation of the fact they took time out of thier live to do something special for you

i see where ben is coming from he is mearly just concerned that the girls and of corse me will be comfy on the day thats all not picking at anyones make of skyline and all you others i see where your all coming from cause you either own a 4 door or have done weddings or used them in your own

at the end of the dqy i cant agree with you all more and i appreciate al imput this is why i posted on here to ask yes it is also a long way away but jo can appreciate that you start organising the small things first ahead of time and the bigger stuff is easyer to focus on

love me forever and always

xxxxxxxxxxxx

i would make sure you have a few back up cars, with the amount of cars that get crashed/stolen/sold/defected theres a good chance not all of your first choice would still be available with a date that far away :(

kinda like having a backup post incase the first post goes missing :P

    • Well, yes, every CU on the bus is available via the Consult port, but whether the scanner you are using is capable of talking to the TCU, the ABS/TCS modules, etc etc, is what is at question here. Many of them are only for engine codes. So, if you have one of those, you won't know if the ABS is having a bitch.
    • That's now. R chassis Skylines come from a time when the tolerance in the ADRs was a bit more....slack. My car, on 235/35-17, which is damn near the exact same size as the original 205/55-16, is pretty much bang on correct indicated speed across the whole legal range. That's demonstrated with constant speed run over 5km, and GPS speed. It's just the luck of the draw. My particular speedo head has to be the thing that is "calibrated" that way, because everything else (the diff ratio, the gearbox and the speedo drive**) are all same same as most other Skylines. **OK, so the speedo drive is a Navara unit to drive the R32's cable, not the electronic unit than an R33/4 would normally have with teh same gear on it. Otherwise, I applaud your OCD tendencies, and I would do the same if I needed to.
    • Not too sure, I believe the Nissan consult port does everything? Also just filled up the reservoir to full and the light is still on. The float seems to move up and down fine.
    • The speedo's can be very conservative, when my Mazda NC MX5 speedo is showing 118kph, the GPS, and a calibrated radar.... cop mate.....hits me at around 110kph +/- 1 or 2 kph, and that is on a 215/45 17, stock tyres size is 205/45 17 as well, so weirdly conservative with stock tyre size When my Commodore speedo red 116kph GPS had me at 110kph on 255/40 17, so again conservative Google says manufacturers need to set the speedo from 4 to 10% slower than actual road speed.....for safety.....and compliance  After doing some offset and clearance measurements to see what can fit the NC on 17x8 +40, without guard rolling or rubbing anything at my current ride height, I've decided that when my tyres are toast, I'm going to fit 225/45 17 and see where that gets me IRT actual speed of my speedo and GPS/radar From the online calculator I should be still be doing around 5kph under an actual 110kph when the speedo is showing 110kph My ADHD requires that when I'm doing 110kph on the speedo, that the actual road speed is actually really close to that, and not alot slower And going from 205 to 225 still keeps the car within the %/mm allowable in the NSW vehicle rules and regulations, which is nice, as long as I'm looking at the latest version that is.....LOL https://www.nsw.gov.au/sites/default/files/2021-02/RMS-13.464-Light-vehicle-modifications-Vehicle-Standards-Information-No-6-November-2013.pdf
    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.
