Well I got the usual foggy headlights that most series 1 R33's get and it now looks very noticable.

Pulling the headlamps out looks like a big job, I have washer bottle, cold airbox etc all in the way.

Whats the best way to clean them and stop it from happening again ?

Cheers.

Do you have to pull the whole light out, or can you crack off the lense cover ?

cheers

How quickly do they discolour again? Is it annoyingly soon after polishing, or do they stay clear for a useful while?

should last at least 12 months before they go cloudy again, but will take a few years for them to get the real ugly yellow

that's interesting...

I thought it was simply moisture on the inside surface of the plastic.

So the clouding must be caused by UV exposure.

Also,my car is garaged and has only been in rain twice in 6 months, and the fogginess is getting worse.

Thanks for the tips, I'll give it a go.

if it is a general cloudyness and discolouration then yes it is caused by UV. if it is just foggy and you can actually see water droplets inside then you have a leak and it is caused by moisture. post up a picture of your light so i can have a look.

I find Brasso works wonders (also awesome removing scratches from DVDs) - just don't get it on your paintwork!

that's why i went with the scratch-x. it is actually a product designed for use on paint so it doesn't matter if it splatters or anything like that. i would just put the woolen buffing bad on the drill, put some scratch-x on the pad, smear it round on the light so it didn't just fly off, then pull the trigger on the drill. took about 5 or 6 seconds per light of actual buffing to get them clear. it would actually take me longer to get all the gear out

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
