hey guys,

im not big up with bodykits.. i tend to stay away from them actually, but i require big fenders for my r32.. now i can find a few... like dmax and d1.. that come in my required size..

but i want the gap at the back end of them.. and an even gap.. the dmax ones have the gap at the top, but then taper back in to fit at the bottom.

i want it to look like this

i cant find any rear guards that sit like this for the r32.. plenty for the silvias.. i dont like the ones that mould back in to the body.. they look tacky and too round usually.

any help would be much appreciated... i know nothing about bodykits.

cheers

Linton

thanks.. they are only +25... i really need +30 at the very least.. +50 would be more ideal..

im undecided on the roof spoiler... they look good on s13s... need to see more on teh r32s i think.. theres a great looking dark blue one doing the rounds on speedhunters etc.. has the 5 spoke blitz wheels.. .looks fantastic.

You tried Rolling / Flaring the guards?

If the wheels are too wide then, I have seen ppl just rivet bolt on guards.

Looks like they went to a wrecker and just sliced the guard / rear panel / flared it out and bolt on.

Looks closely to the rears.

guards are rolled... and they fit sweet with the 17x9.5 +25mm... now i have 17x9.5 -0 and i want wide fenders..

i like the rivet on ones.. no mess, no fuss, just get em on and go.

they need to clear this

yeh it is a bit to cover.. and thats with the stretched 235.. plan is to run grippy 255's all round for circuit. so thats why it will need the +50. fronts are 17x9 +25 which will fit gtr guards but 17x9.5 + 0 at the back will need fenders..

im thinking, and i may need to be shot down here...

but say i get the dmax, +30 rear fenders, and just space them out +20 at the back with 4 pieces of 20x20 aluminum square tube.. mould them in at the front and at the top.. and leave the back open a little bit..

otherwise i might just get some chopped rears, bash them into shape, then make a frp or c/f copy of them and rivet them on.

ohh i dont know.

god damn hippies..

thats true... but ill put the 255s on there tomorrow, remove the suspension and jack it up to where it should sit.. remember that pic is with 235s.. the 255s are a whole different kettle of fish.

farrrrrk that looks phat as albert dude... good job.. the verandah flares look full matsuri spec.. i love it, bet cops or your hands didnt though. viva garage kit seems to fit ok.. compared to others that ive heard of anyway.

after looking closely at the back end of the cusco wrx, i think ill use wide front fenders like dmax and a modified bolt on flare at the back.

its going on a pure track car, so not worried about doing it for police attention etc. just want the extra track and big rubber.

viva stuff is decent, fits up pretty good and is fairly flexible which is a good thing (hard kits break easily with a bit of pressure)

you think yours is gonna be hard to cover up... try 18x12 - 4 :P

those are 50mm bolt on flares on the back. still looking for some full sized bolt on guards for the 33 that actually look good.

    • Maybe also really stiffly sprung track cars. Get the inside wheel up in a corner and all the fun stops. Also me sometimes (rarely) when I have to stand on the brake to convince the diff to drive the wheel that is still on the ground when I'm trying to diagonally get over severe driveway entrance, etc.
    • I feel like I'm missing something. You had an authorised installer come out and install a new alarm. Post install the car doesn't start, and you aren't getting the installer back to fix what they did wrong?
    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
