dont get me started on just jap birds, if they don't like the way you look, the price goes up 10%.

Also i bought split fires from them, a whole box, through the window of the box it looked like there were six coils in there, 2 minutes after i left i stopped at a maccas around the corner from them and decided to open it up and there were only 5, and the 5 were used. after 30 minutes one of the guys there admitts he didnt check the box and regurlarly they get returns or sell individual coils where there may only be 5 coils in a box instead of six.

I boycot them ever since, imagine if you ordered it online, there goes $600.

I send for japan now anyway, everything is cheaper and never had a prob

Edward lee has the worst rep for imports on Parramatta road (and thats pretty fkn bad).

From reliable sources around 4-6 were officially bought in the country by Subaru Australia. Subaru kept one and put the others for sale. Though I have personally seen 4+ private imported 22B's. Yes you are correct. 400 were made along with 3 prototypes numbered "000". The prototypes were given to David Lapworth, Colin McRae and Nicky Grist. From memory they made a extra 50 "Type UK" 22B which were only sold in Great Britain.

Where abouts do you live? You are lucky to spot a 22B is Australia. I personally have only seen 2 in the flesh (Both being at dealerships). I know of an owner who lives up near Woy Woy, Sydney.

Its hard to tell if its a Japanese or Australia delievered because 400 were made from 1998-1999. All of the 400 cars were sold in 48 Hours. You also mention it sounded better, potentially beacause the 22B had a unique 2.2L boxer engine rather than the usual 2.0L. It was the first Subaru to have a Intercooler water-spray button, adjustable rear wing and a changable Diff. Doesnt sound like much now but back in the late 90's these were very well above the current technology.

The 22B didn't have a radio, airbag or even ABS (IC waterspray taking up the space where the ABS was). Though it did have Blistein supension, STi struts, BBS Elektra wheels and a WRC-Spec wide body kit.

I don't think they were that high - I think it was only 3-4 Aust delivered ones. Most of the ones that are here are private imports

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
