Hey guys. I'm buying my first skyline, an R34 GTT, but it doesn't include the lmgt2's on it, so I need a set of r34 stockies by the end of the week :S

Checked first 10 pages of for sale thread, and also called up some wreckers and compliance places, but no luck :l

Closest I got was KYP who had 3 rims.... :(

There must be a set for sale floating around Perth somewhere! Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Cheers,

Lyndon

Man.. those lmgt4's look mint...

Saw a white 32 GTR with a bronze set the other day :)

Oh, btw, you're looking for a set of 32 gtr rims right? This guy is selling a set he got with his s2 r33:

Dude the thread you posted in the Wanted to Buy section is surely enough

Havn't heard from anyone in that thread yet, and need a set ASAP! :( Wouldn't have have made this one otherwise :S

Sorry mods if this is too much :S New to the forums and skyline ownership! :)

Does it have to be stockies? Why don't you just get some good wheels? Or just some hell cheap things to fit on there until you get some good wheels? Cos 34 stockies go very very quickly when they pop up... might be hard to get a hold of some quickly

I'm still a uni student, so saving up for some nice ones like te37's or lmgt4's.

Lowered coupe with black capless stockies = sex on a budget ;D hehe

Fair enough, welcome to the club of uni Skyline owners :(

No doubt 34 stockies (painted black) are great looking wheels, i want some for track wheels so i don't chew my street tyres :) But hard to get hold of

Haha does the white 33 have Work Emotions and CF hood? And the black gtst veilside front bar? Those are my friend's cars lol. They're the ones that originally got me into imports :)

Anyway.. 34 GTT WHEELS! Preferably in black already :S PM me :(

Neg. White 33gtst = chick driver, stock looking cept wheels.

Black 33gtst has bad fitting 400r front bar and fail offset wheels lol.

Hang on. This guy may still have his single R34 GTT wheel and tyre. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fr...20&start=20

So grab his, and KYP's 3 and you've got 4.

Oh lol. There's shitloads of imports in curtin lol

Why'd you sell your 33 GTR dude? I saw the for sale thread not too long ago. Looked mint! :)

The ones that used to be pink? lol. Would the offset suit a GTT tho? It came off his GTR right :S

He got bored :) He gets bored easily... Not even 18 and he has owned (correct me if i'm wrong James, i may have lost count :() 7 cars, all of them great cars! Including R33 GTR, very nice V8 BMW (sold in less than 2 months :bunny:), Porsche, insane R32 GTR... Now selling the 32 lol. James you pick a car :D

That's the kinda stuff insurance company's wet dreams are made of :)

Oooh a guy just msged me.. he has a set primed and ready to paint :(

Do you know roughly how much a set of decent rubber would cost for 17x7.5's?

    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
