Forum members I ask for your help as it is greatly needed...

Last night my car was involved in an accident at knox city shopping centre. I own a bronze 92 Pulsar which was hit by a 1988 Silver Ford Fairmont Ghia Station wargon with the rego NAU 365. The Ford was conpleted at fault and flead the scene of the accident. The car also was driven by a P plate driver. The police are now search for the driver and male passenger who were in the car at the time of the accident. The police are also searching for this car as a result of previous offences. I ask if members and guests could please spread the word and keep an eye out for this car. If it is seen please dial 000 immediately and ask for the police, tell them the rego and that the car is wanted for multiple offences and tell the operator where the car is and where it is heading. I ask this as there is $3000 damage to my car and my insurance company (RACV) will not cover me unless the police can get a hold of the driver and make him accountable for the costs. Or if you know where this person lives or have any other information regarding their whereabouts please don't hesitate to PM me with the details or your contact number. I greatly appreciate any help that anyone can offer and may even offer a reward for the current address of the person/s if the police catch them there. As I now have no way to get to work or uni and definately can't afford the repair costs.

Thanks for reading.

If the police have the rego, they can track the owner through Vicroads. I think RACV could also do the same. (My bank was able to find out stuff about the car from Vicroads when I borrowed money on a secured loan.)

But, it's probably stolen.

If you have comprehensive insurance, I believe RACV are obliged to repair your car, regardless. It's then their problem to recover costs.

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG is has not responded to my emails so far after purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
