Hay guys, i have a vipec computer and was just wondering if by moving the tps around will it change anything???? we moved it after it was tunded because someone told me that it would fix my idle issue... but it diddnt....

any help???

maybe pull the vipec out and replace it with a power fc? they always idle like factory

to bad power fc doesnt have thoes.....

any way, idle is fine now turned out to be a huge air leak from throtles.....

so does the tps do anything if you move it from position it is tuned in???

Well yes - it's setup as is.

Altering the Throttle Position Sensor will then alter Throttle input

Pretty sure it's just idle, i mean once the TPS is open then it's open at whatever percentage etc (i could totally be wrong)

More so for idle i believe the adjustments have effects so if your idle is ok it should still be fine.

Doesnt sound like you made any major adjustment?

i just thought that if the tps is sending a signal because it is twisted, then the car would be trying to control the idle thinking the throtle is on all the time...

ill have a play tomorrow and see if it makes a differance..

easiest way, plug a laptop in and reconfig the TPS 0% and 100%

i would but my f*k head tuner put a password on the vipec and woont tell me what it is...

can you monitor sensors with the password on?

nope wont even let me data log...

even when locked you should be able to connect to the ecu, you dont need to data log or modify settings to see what the TPS % is showing.

Using a consult cable I can see that my TPS gives a voltage value of 1 off throttle and 4 on throttle (R32 RB20DET). Sav man, are you saying that it shoudl be 0 volts when the throttle is closed? Thanks, Ben.
