Hi Guys,

I have a set of Defi gauges ive had sitting around for a while and no longer need. The 4 consist of oil temp, oil pressure, water temp and boost aswell as the control unit. They all work fine and are the older style 60mm gauges which are white with green backlight.

It comes with all required wiring, the 4 gauges, the control unit, the cups and stands for each of the gauges, the manual and a seperate warning indicator light that can be used for any of the gauges. As for the senders the oil pressure and oil temperature senders are missing. The water temp sender and wiring is there however the wiring has snapped off at the sender so im not sure if its useable. The boost sender is fine and included.

With this in mind I have set the price at $650 ONO. Pickup from Rouse Hill, NSW is preferred but can post at buyers expense.

Any questions PM me or sms/ring 0403858714.

Thanks,

Brett

hey mate can you point me in the direction where you can get sensors for $70

on ebay oil temp is $137 posted

oil press is $217 posted

and water temp is $137 posted

THESE ARE JUST SENSORS

thats an extra 491 in just sensors LMAO

not trying to ruin your thread but cmon lets be realistic

I have spare sensors for defi link bf series oil temp, oil pressure.

Some knob stole the gauges out of my car so I had to buy all the gauges again.

Not sure if they are the same ones as required for this kit. Maybe someone can clarify this one.

If its the same then my spare sensors would complete reaper's setup.

I guess you arent looking hard enough then if thats the best price you can do. Regardless gauges are already sold and the new owner knows where to get the senders.

Just because you would rather pay retail doesnt mean im being unrealistic.

As for your senders s2d4 I dont know if they are the same sorry.

Thanks,

Brett

Whenever I need something from Japan I simply use Jessestreeter.com

Whilst he does take a 10% comission his prices are still far better than retail as he buys most of the parts wholesale. I have bought a replacement water temp sender through him before for the same sort of gauges and it cost me $80 landed. Its all well and good to come in here and say im deluded but he really does get it far cheaper. For instance my set of weds kranze lzx was delivered via air freight for 1k less than the japanese retail on just the wheels themselves.

Believe what you want to but I dont need to lie, the gauges are cheap enough as is :rofl2:

    • Yeah nice idea, you mean to suction it to the gauges? I hadn't thought of that.
    • A few suggestions: Do you have the option of retarding your exhaust cam gear to bring the power band over to the left? VCT would be turned off after you make peak torque, you see the power/torque will decay faster with it left on all the way to the limiter Once VCT is turned off, you'll find the motor will take a bit more timing being ramped in Send its mum, more boost! Of course, depends on your exhaust pressure.

    • I was back on the dyno again yesterday after completely revamping my methanol injection system. I was making 440kw at 19psi. Great, this is more then I was making last summer with my old meth system at that pressure, and I figured it would be smooth sailing up to 30+psi. We continued increasing from there and by 25psi, I had only hit 455kw. Dyno sadly lost utility power at this point and I left. We seemed to be on course to hit the same power wall as last summer (477kw@27psi). This is a built RB25 S1 stroked to a 2.8. Built and ported head with Kelford 272/262 cams. Precision 6466 Turbo. Tuner last year believed the power wall is a mix of RPM limitations (Hydro lifters/Limit set at 7600RPM) and fueling. With my new meth system, we're seeing zero knock now but it still won't go up.  What else can I do at this point? Here's my train of thought.  - It's clear from the dyno graph that I would easily make power to 8500+RPM but I'm limited to 7600RPM. I could risk increasing my limiter, but hydro lifters have me worried. What are my options here besides going NEO head or solid lifter conversion? I'm rocking a 1.05AR turbine on my 6466. Would dropping down to a .84 help shift that power down in anyway? - We're only seeing roughly a 30kw difference at the top end with VCT on or off. Is this normal? I want to confirm VCT is working properly. - Should I look into other cam options?  - Should I just keep increasing boost and see if she wakes up later on? I would expect to hit 600rwkw around 35psi with my 6466.
