What is regarded as the best exhaust at the moment? I am looking for...

* Something made out of titanium (to save weight)

* Something that is legal (or close to it :P )

* Something that will not harm -- or hopefully -- will improve response.

Also, has anyone tried one of the Apexi hi-flow 3" cats?

LW.

meggala, good to hear you got such good results from the turbo and glad the thread was of help. Pretty responsive little package you have there - I wonder what the advocates of never using bush bearing turbos would say to your results?

two people that just dont get it then.... your gunna kill your cars...

so it would follow that my car shouldnt be running.

where do you get your info from? heresay, or actual experience? I can understand concern for someone who may damage their car, but dude, give it a rest - your not their mother.

I had no probs at all running on base map in summer. when it made it to the dyno it was rich everywhere.

but anyway, thats a bit off subject

thanks steve, hey lwells. the n1 or the duel n1s are the best review and results at the moment. so if your in for something to the specs below i would go the n1.

You mean the Apexi N1? What about the Ti HKS's?

Has anyone actual done a comparison of the various titanium exhausts lately?

Edit: I should have added, it has to be turbo-back for R32 GT-R

I have never taken my car down the 1/4, when I drive hard, I like it to last a bit longer than a few seconds. It is a daily driver. Not huge on cruises, prefer to go for drives with smaller groups. Cruises tend to attract too much attention and end up stuck behind guys who may not be too interested in a spirited drive.

BTW DJ, are you going to answer my questions?

What about these units?

Edit: Whoops, wrong link. Fixed now.

LW - That's the exect same exhaust I have - It seems to go well.

330 rwkw @21 PSI - HKS 3040 - similar setup to steve. Boost starts at 3000 RPM and I have it all at 4100 RPM.

Can I ask where you got it and how much you payed? (PM me if you don't want to post)

Cheers,

LW.

LW,

Did you follow the links I posted back here, about the HKS Ti Drag system ?

It works a treat, but it's different from the other HKS Ti systems, many of them only have a Ti ail pipe.

Yup, was rather impressive. Just trying to way it up against other titanium systems.

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
