Yea, it IS a short main story, thats why its a good idea to do any side quests you come accross..........untill the DLC comes out :)

Seeing as you can get to level 30 before your capped, maybe the DLC will let us get to level 40 lol

Well that goes to show that if you play around the main story, you can go pretty well, especially if you enjoy just heading out the the wasteland and killing sqads of deathclaws :)

Im level 26 now and ive still got things to do other than the main story

damn I'm level 22 or so 30 hours in, and only started doing story quests because I couldn't stand not going into New Vegas any more!

lol im in about 56 hours :D

And yea it was difficult to do little side quests when there are big exciting main quests to do, but i knew it was worth the effort :)

I concentrated on speaking skills and doing lots of challenges to get mass XP lolz

oh yeah finally cleared out the Deathclaws in the quarry, what a f**king waste of time that was, 50xp each and no loot?! wtf?! took about 40 rockets from Annabelle to clear them all out too.

Yeah heaps different.. It's ok i suppose.. Main story seemed too quick compared to 1 & 2.. You basically have to overthrow your brother the evil tyrant.. only to find this Darkness is coming in a year.. So you choose to be good to your people and have to lose money.. Or bad, then everyone hates you but you get to save 6.5 mil people.. Or you can raise the money yourself..

It's prob worth buying but may not enjoy it as much as Fable 2..

Best thing to do is grab the explorer perk and spend shit loads of hours exploring all vaults, radiation areas, killing death claws, caves etc.

.............Spoliers.........

I finished the game the evil way. Wiped out the NCR and legion and helped the YES man and killed Mr House :P

This included killing Caesar, Benny and wiping out the commando's of NCR and the dude in Legate Camp.

I helped the brotherhood and got the power armour.

Killed everyone in all the casinos along the Vegas Strip also wiped out the King's clan and the Van Graffs in Freeside too.

lol u did it wrong ;) Stay hidden with the anti-material rifle = one shot kills

There was SOME loot, the dethclaw eggs have a value of 700, i found 4 of them.

I dont really care much for loot unless its rare items u cant buy, i currently have 50,000 caps and nothing to spend them on! :O

Hahaha so you killed EVERYONE pretty much?

I went that way and killed house and the legion etc, but i found it boring, so i went back and did it the other way.

Still trying to decide which way to go about getting the power armour tho.

Btw guys, there is a place that has the power armour you can get from arcade, its accross the river somewhere random, anyone that wants to know where, let me know, dont wanna give out stuff like that to people that like to find things themselves :P

But really i just went to have fun wiping out the deathclaws, there are probably about 20 of them in there, plus an alpha male and two mothers ;)

I think I might try the game again with guns rather than melee and energy and be a good boy lol.

I never knew about getting power armour that way but I might have to try give it a go.

The death claws are fun just popping them off one by one in the distance but once they get close they just chop you up. I missed the alpha male and mothers ;)

whats your oppinion on fable 3? worth buying? any different to fable 2?

Personally Fable 2 didnt really appeal to me after the excitement of owning everything in Albion wore off. Fable 3 is a bit different I find the story a lot more engaging so it makes you want to play it more. As far as gameplay goes there are a couple of big holes that really piss me off, no mini-map, no quest journal, no "you are here" on the actual map screen and the golden trail is broken about 30% of the time so you have to just walk backwards and forwards till it starts working. Other than that though its a pretty reasonable experience, although one warning get all the money you need before the final battle because it sneaks up on you like a mother f**ker, I had to start the whole game again because it doesnt let you know when its going to be and I went from having 121 days left to having none.

Yeah things that annoyed me.. Game was too fast i reckon.. The golden trail led me in directions that was false for every now and then, in which it would suddenly tell me to go back where i was coming from.. or it wasnt even there and you had to walk around to get it to show..

the days jumped down large amounts and yeah the last 2 days of royal proclamations it never let you do other shit.. jsut proclamations and the days were over.. then next thing i knew darkness had come and 4.6mil people died instantly LOL.. Along those lines if you be a good boy you get royally f**ked.. be bad and the phesants winge and hate you even though you're trying to save their lives.. STFU and die quietly..

Starting off was awesome but once you gotta nail down the coin.. you can slowly start buying houses and businesses.. but once you own a few its easy to buy the rest.. But trying to get 6.5mil $$$ to save everyone the good way takes forever and you got nothing to do during that time.. So homo.. I ended up just letting 4.6mil die but that was majorly because they didnt say how many days it was jumping by..

ok finally got a show stopper bug. I can no longer invite Arcade to be my companion (no homo except for Arcade who is a massive flamer) and I haven't done his quest yet. had weapons go missing from my Companions leaving casinos too.

What if I want to sell him to ceasar?

Also stupid raiding vaults before knowing I need ~30 for anytime sexytime well rested with Sarah in Vault 21. Be Aware.

How would this version compare to the original fallout 3 in overall length? I am hoping to dedicate a weekend to this new game, if only I had the time at the moment.

I have apparently played 60 hours but then I mess around a lot and reload and have had to go back due to a couple of bugs, have not finished the main quest but you can finish it in a short space of time.

    • Even with the piston at TDC there was room for it to drop, but I don't think it can drop fully into the cylinder, the problem you have is that you need something pushing against the valve to hold it up so you have enough room to put the new stem seal on and the spring etc.  I used compressed air only because putting rope in the cylinder seemed a bit risky to me, I know people have done it countless times before like this. Overall it's a pain in the ass job. Honestly you'd probably be better off taking the head off because the risk of dropping something in the engine and the finicky-ness of it all is very stressful. If you are going to attempt it though i 10000% recommend a 36050 valve spring/keeper tool. I had both the traditional lever type and after doing 1 cylinder it was absolute pain to get those valve keepers in place, even with 2 people. That 36050 is amazing, you do have to push hard to get them in place but it works perfectly almost every time. Back to my actual issue I think my engine is just tired and old and the rings have gone bad. The comp numbers (cold, no oil) were: Cyl 1 -129psi Cyl 2 - 133psi Cyl 3 - 138psi Cyl 4 - 137psi Cyl 5 - 157psi Cyl 6 - 142psi   Cylinder 5 and 6 having the most carbon on them.
    • Who did you have do the installation? I actually know someone who is VERY familiar with the AVS gear. The main point of contact though would be your installer.   Where are you based in NZ?
    • Look, realistically, those are some fairly chunky connectors and wires so it is a reasonably fair bet that that loom was involved in the redirection of the fuel pump and/or ECU/ignition power for the immobiliser. It's also fair to be that the new immobiliser is essentially the same thing as the old one, and so it probably needs the same stuff done to make it do what it has to do. Given that you are talking about a car that no-one else here is familiar with (I mean your exact car) and an alarm that I've never heard of before and so probably not many others are familiar with, and that some wire monkey has been messing with it out of our sight, it seems reasonable that the wire monkey should be fixing this.
    • Wheel alignment immediately. Not "when I get around to it". And further to what Duncan said - you cannot just put camber arms on and shorten them. You will introduce bump steer far in excess of what the car had with stock arms. You need adjustable tension arms and they need to be shortened also. The simplest approach is to shorten them the same % as the stock ones. This will not be correct or optimal, but it will be better than any other guess. The correct way to set the lengths of both arms is to use a properly built/set up bump steer gauge and trial and error the adjustments until you hit the camber you need and want and have minimum bump steer in the range of motion that the wheel is expected to travel. And what Duncan said about toe is also very true. And you cannot change the camber arm without also affecting toe. So when you have adjustable arms on the back of a Skyline, the car either needs to go to a talented wheel aligner (not your local tyre shop dropout), or you need to be able to do this stuff yourself at home. Guess which approach I have taken? I have built my own gear for camber, toe and bump steer measurement and I do all this on the flattest bit of concrete I have, with some shims under the tyres on one side to level the car.
    • Thought I would get some advice from others on this situation.    Relevant info: R33 GTS25t Link G4x ECU Walbro 255LPH w/ OEM FP Relay (No relay mod) Scenario: I accidentally messed up my old AVS S5 (rev.1) at the start of the year and the cars been immobilised. Also the siren BBU has completely failed; so I decided to upgrade it.  I got a newer AVS S5 (rev.2?) installed on Friday. The guy removed the old one and its immobilisers. Tried to start it; the car cranks but doesnt start.  The new one was installed and all the alarm functions seem to be working as they should; still wouldn't start Went to bed; got up on Friday morning and decided to have a look into the no start problem. Found the car completely dead.  Charged the battery; plugged it back in and found the brake lights were stuck on.  Unplugging the brake pedal switch the lights turn off. Plug it back in and theyre stuck on again. I tested the switch (continuity test and resistance); all looks good (0-1kohm).  On talking to AVS; found its because of the rubber stopper on the brake pedal; sure enough the middle of it is missing so have ordered a new one. One of those wear items; which was confusing what was going on However when I try unplugging the STOP Light fuses (under the dash and under the hood) the brake light still stays on. Should those fuses not cut the brake light circuit?  I then checked the ECU; FP Speed Error.  Testing the pump again; I can hear the relay clicking every time I switch it to ON. I unplugged the pump and put the multimeter across the plug. No continuity; im seeing 0.6V (ECU signal?) and when it switches the relay I think its like 20mA or 200mA). Not seeing 12.4V / 7-9A. As far as I know; the Fuel Pump was wired through one of the immobiliser relays on the old alarm.  He pulled some thick gauged harness out with the old alarm wiring; which looks to me like it was to bridge connections into the immobilisers? Before it got immobilised it was running just fine.  Im at a loss to why the FP is getting no voltage; I thought maybe the FP was faulty (even though I havent even done 50km on the new pump) but no voltage at the harness plug.  Questions: Could it be he didnt reconnect the fuel pump when testing it after the old alarm removal (before installing the new alarm)?  Is this a case of bridging to the brake lights instead of the fuel pump circuit? It's a bit beyond me as I dont do a lot with electrical; so have tried my best to diagnose what I think seems to make sense.  Seeking advice if theres for sure an issue with the alarm install to get him back here; or if I do infact, need an auto electrician to diagnose it.
