Before you even start going through any big modification process I say you spend the next month or so reading as many threads on this site that you can because you are very limited in knowledge (hell we all were at one stage) and If I was you I would try to get as much knowledge under your belt before you go down this road so you don't waste money.

The first year that I had my car I didn't do many modifications (was still in year 12 and had no cash) but I spent nearly ever night reading and researching what everything was and what parts did what. Best help I ever had was SAU, I suggest you use it to your advantage. All the information you could ever want is on this site so just have a search for it.

Not sure what a Z32 AFM is? Spend a few hours searching it and reading, then you will know one extra thing.

Not sure what the benefits of an aftermarket ECU are? Same thing, start searching brother.

Soon as you changes things like AFM, injectors = retune.

If you are on a tight budget, then simply you shouldn't even be aiming for 300rwkw to be honest.

Settle for 250rwkw give/take with a bolt-on hi-flow turbo and just drive it

itll be 250-270 at the very most.

Is it possible to bolt on a bigger turbo having a front mount and leave it until i get more dosh, or is that not such a good idea??

When i do get the money, get the injectors, pump, afm and nistune all done in the same week???

You will need power fc or nistune or other ecu

you need to tune every time you change things like turbo, injectors, afm

best bet is to get all the parts and do it at once

You can not just drive it around half assed as this will cost you your motor.... That's if it even runs

your looking for a cheaper alterantive to a stand alone and you want 500rwhp or 500hp ?

i think you really need to write down on paper

a) what you want

b) how much you plan to spend

the two will never match at this rate

forget about solution mode for 10 minutes, really plan what you want

you're getting way too far and quick into solution mode

next up youll be bidding on ebay auctions for random kits and bolt on stuff that wont work

Im aiming for about 350-360hp at the wheels and planning to spend about 4 grand.

Was thinking a garrett gt3076, nismo 480cc injectors, bosch z32afm, intank fuel pump, trying to find 1 at the moment, any recomendations would be great.

And nistune at the end of it. Planning to put it all in at once and be done with it rather then messing around with it.

i still think 360rwhp will cost you 10k in parts, labour, tune drive in and jive away

a mate of mine knows his shit and has the same car, so he'l be able to install everything, all i would need to get done is the nistune.

That should have dropped the price considerably id imagine??

I don't think 4k will cut it unfortunately. I can't remember what modifications you said your car had and I can't be bothered reading through it all so just take away what you have:

Cat-back and dump pipe - $800-$1200+

FMIC - $500-$1000+

GT3076 -$1700-$1900

Clutch $500-$1000+

Injectors - $800

Fuel pump - $200-$450

Nistune - $400

Z32 - $200-$300

Tune - $500-$1000

Splitfire coilpacks - $650

Boost controller - $50-$800

This is assuming you are going an internal gate setup, if going external gate it's obviously going to be more for a gate and manifold.

So in parts alone you are looking at $6300-$10000+ depending on what exact parts you allready have and depending on what quality gear you want to get. This is with no labour for anything, no fluids/service you will need to do. Plus all the little costs that start adding up when you need something or something breaks during installation. Trust me, it happens.

So like I said if you want to do it, plan to spend more than $4000 or you will get a bit of a shock once it all starts adding up.

I already have the front mount, clutch, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, boost controller and yellowjackets coilpacks.

And a mate is able to do all the rest and all that needs to be done is the nistune.

So allowing 4 grand for whats left i was thinking would be ok??

Dont mind too much if the price does go over the limit a little tho.

+1

about one year ago i bought a bog stock r34gtt and had no experience with turbo cars what-so-ever, then stumbled onto this awesome site and started a massive learning curve :)

I've gone from no experience at the start and now driving around in an awesome feeling 266rwkw GTT, just went to metal intake/pod today and should see 280rwkw hopefully. All work appart from tuning done myself.

So read, read and read some more and take in all the advice ya can.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
