Still planning to get an R32 GTS-t this year - starting to think about tuning.  I am wondering if the exhaust manifolds and turbos from an RB26DETT will fit the RB20DET?

Thanks

J

The manifolds dont bolt straignt on, but with a little work can be made to fit (bolt patternt is different for a couple of the cylinders)

You will need to change the dumps/front exhaust to suit th enew twin turbo setup, and have the two intakes split after the single AFM (Z32) to ensure the std ECU will work. put the O2 sensor where the dumps meet, you should try and keep the sensor reasonalb e close to the exhaust outlet.

Can be done, but requires some fiddling, i dont know of anyone that has done it, but should make 220rwks @ 1 bar (ppls thoughts...does that sound right???)

PPl dont seem to go down that path because of the cost of all the custom fabrication/modification of manifolds, oil/water lines, exhaust, means it can be more expensive then a single turbo upgrade unless you can do a lot of the work yourself.

So as far as the manifolds go it's just a matter of redrilling a couple of holes?

Regarding the downpipe, would an exhaust made for a GT-R fit?

Thanks,

Jason

I think it is more a matter of welding some tabs on, then drill...as there is no material there to drill.

GTR exhaust could fit... i think you are the pioneer on this sort of combo, much of the information you get will be "ummmms" and "i thinks" as like i said most ppl seem to go down the single turbo upgrade.

OK I see. Thanks for the info. I think for me doing this might make sense because there will be quite a few GT-Rs coming into Canada (15 year rule) and I imagine a lot of them will be ditching their stock turbos. Cheap bits for me :P Also if I were to upgrade to a larger single, I'd want to get a better manifold anyway, and the GT-R manifolds are pretty good.

Cheers
