lol @ "cheap" and "genuine" being used in the same sentence.

yeah maybe "discounted genuine parts" would have been a better choice of wording.

anyway i found these http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/gt..._22_26_448.html

not to bad....

you may be surprised if you have a good friendly chat to the parts guy and ask about trade or discounted price. when i was sourcing my 100km service parts i had a good chat with an enthusiastic parts guy, he ended up giving me some sort of discount without me even asking. top bloke!

Give KDS parts a call, Better than Trade prices on nissan stuff in most cases. She is on this forum aswell, Cazz i think it is

1300 667 102

they wont answer the phone with KDS parts, It will be an I.T. shop just ask for KDS parts,

I went to nissan to buy a 18mm hose leading from the resevouir to the steering pump , they tried to charge me $120 for a stupid hose. But i just went to the wrekcers and pulled one of another R31 lol.

Whatever you want I can get it as cheap as it gets as I order a signifigant amount of stuff through Nissan ;)

You'll need to supply me with the part numbers and what price you have been quoted so far.

(send me a PM).

Interesting!

I shall keep that in mind if I need anything.

However that said, quite often there is very little margin between my price, trade price & retail price.

So all stuffing around, end of the day it's just easier for you to ring em and order yourself.

Nissan are actually quite reasonably priced for a lot of things.

It's only when you chase electronic stuff that you get reamed:

CAS

Coil packs

Ignitors

Loom

And so on. Otherwise gasket kits and that kinda thing you are talking at times only $20, which ordering from interstate @ cheaper and then adding on postage, time, effort you might as well just eat the $10 and get it yourself ;)

I just dont have time to chase part numbers - otherwise i would gladly help everyone all the time.

Part numbers makes it as simple as a phone call for me :D

Yeah sure, that's understandable.

I'm just saying if I need to source specific parts, your link to Nissan would come in handy at times.

Yes I will research into the part / part number 1st... Gotta find out what it is and what you need, of course ;)

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
