No biggie for me mate, it was on the exact same dyno not even 3 weeks prior so it really didn't bother me. Much rathered giving my spot to Matty to see if he could fix his issues on a second run :D

thanks for that too luke

much kudos to martin and kier and the boys at willall. especially for the advice regarding my rather shit state of ignition timing, and the lend of a timing light (and roo's spare CAS too). at least i can confidently say that i know it wont blow up next weekend :D

Looks like i missed an awesome day! Totally spewing i had to go to the show instead.

That you did considering the show is crap :D

thanks for that too luke

Not a problem bud. Like I said to you on the day; atleast you know what's wrong with it and what needs to be fixed. Just get on top of it before something else rears its ugly head. GTR's can get $$$

yeah, thats it. at least it'll be alright for this weekend, then i can take a breath and sort it all out. turbos, oil lines, cams (maybe LOL)

What would be cool is if we could get a big ass graph with everyones power curves overlaid

would really put things into perspective, not just be about peak power but to also show how responsive some cars are

not sure if it can be done but it'd be awesome if we could do that next dyno day :D

also some r32 gtrs were ran awd and some were ran rwd - bit of a discrepancy there for the sakes of comparison

those are the only two things that I think would improve the next dyno day - beer would probably improve it too

Willall don't like Running 32 GTR's in AWD as it stuff around with your attessa

as for graph would possibly look like a mess a 5 yr old has drawn

depends how u overlaid it

obviously you wouldnt have a 100kw car on a 200kw chart nor a 200kw car on a 300kw chart

colour coded lines are done all the time. sure it could be done, even if one had to plot graph points into another piece of software

the first bunch of gtrs were ran in 4wd... didnt seem to have any visible problems? only ones that werent ran in awd was my own and panzers.. i for one was very keen on seeing how much power loss i'd get in 4wd mode as opposed to rwd only

and RH9

you only see a difference of 5% with AWD

yeah the overlay could be done, not 100% sure what it achieves as there is 25 cars run with almost 20 different tuners

doesnt matter what the tuners are - the result on the same dyno is the benchmark - and thats why it would be interesting to see.

its all very well and good for me to go to my tuner and get a printout, but every dyno is different - if u neutralize that variable by having them all ran on the same dyno (pref all in rwd tho i know it cant be done) then you'd get a good idea of actual real world power and torque curves

not criticising the event in any way at all, just that would be the icing on the cake imho

My car was about 16kw different from 4wd to rwd on GW's dyno.

how much were u doing in both awd and rwd? interesting a percentage value so i can compare it with other peoples results - can help when regarding how efficient the transfer case is on any given power level - as well as the comparison between the 33 and 34 attessa systems to the 32's admittedly slower reacting attessa

Just a quick heads up - none of the R32 Based cars were run in AWD mode. The reason for this is that their ATTESSA control doesnt operate consistently on the dyno, any dyno, hence its not good for the life of the transfer case - and 32 transfer cases are - very - fragile. What you may have seen is some of the earlier run 32s set up on the rear bed, as we had the dyno set is RWD/AWD mode and the straps setup to run the cars this way (we let MattyTs GTR run the front wheels for a bit as we believed it had a fault and we could identify it that way for him). There should be no difference between running front bed/rear bed in terms of power. Notably one of the GTRs went 309rwkw on the rear bed in the morning, and at the end of the day when it (the engine) was a lot cooler it ran 316rwkw which is about right. We test the variance between the beds regularly :P

cool thx for clearing that up :D looks like the 32s all had pretty interesting results

I was sure that redbacks nur would be pulling more than he did which is why I thought i'd ask

    • LOL, when one "money pit" is never enough Noice, and excellent work mate
    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
