haha made you all look :(

this is just a quick thread because so many people around are quick to speak badly about workshops... this is something GOOD about a workshop

my car may be finalising a sale this weekend, but - as we all know... soon as a car finds out that it's for sale. it will break.

my injector O rings had corroded and decided to leak petrol on the inlet manifold while driving. and when car was off... it flooded the motor with petrol so made it hesitant to start. Pain in the ass. not to meniton how dangerous it is!

i wasn't in any hurry to fix this problem, as i am able to leave the car at home and it's important i am at work at present moment, however pressure was on me as the potential buyer wanted to view car this weekend...

i called andrew @ hyperdrive to see if there was ANY possibility of getitng the repair this week, he politely told me they're fully booked but call back later if there's a cancellation...

to my favour there WAS a cancellation. i got my car repaired the next morning, for a price i'm very happy with, and cos i wasn't able to pick up my car in time they EVEN took my credit details over the phone and let me pick up my Cefiro after hours. my car drives and starts like a dream again

juust a quick KUDOS and a job well done by the team @ Hyperdrive, keep up the good work and the excellent customer service, guys!

Ant at XSpeed tunes my R. It's a safe tune, it could make more but I'm not qualifying for Bathurst. The last thing a tuner wants is a grumpy fark complaining that his dragon blew up and they get the blame. XSpeed could make way more out of me if they put the R on a knife edge but they dont becasue its a long term relationship...pfft I'll put the 2.8 together eventually though :)

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
