ill post somemore info after i find the website that i need.

edit : oh and the search button is not an enemy

they were probably build forthe sake of going into the museum.

well i got the info.

V-Spec :

The V-spec is the flagship model of the GT-R range. to increase performance an active LSD controlled in conjunction by a viscous coupling is used.

To aid high speed stability and overall road handling stiffer suspension and aerodynamics parts were implemented.

Special front and rear diffusers were developed, the rear one constructed from carbon fibre.

Difference from Standard :

Brake air duct

Front diffuser

Rear carbon diffuser

Active LSD

ATTESA E-TS PRO

Hard suspension

V-Spec II :

bnr34_v-specii_rear.gif

The V-spec was replaced with the V-spec II on August 28th, 2000.

The original aluminium bonnet has been replaced by a carbon fibre item with NACA duct to aid engine cooling

Furthermore the interior trim is now realised in black cloth and the rear brake discs are now slightly bigger (same as the N1 version).

Due to revision of the colour line-up, the following light colours are so far available: Bayside Blue (#TV2), White (#QM1), and White Pearl (#QX1). Silver and black are also available, but yellow and red are not available any more.

Difference from V-spec :

Rear brake (N1 based brake caliper)

Aluminum sport pedal (Axcel, Brake, Cluth)

Trim colour (from gray to black)

Carbon bonnet with NACA duct

White repeater lense

Colour of center console

Add: White Pearl(#QX1), Sparkling Silver(#WV2)

Del: Lightning Yellow(#EV1), Active Red(#AR2), Sonic Silver(#KR4

M-Spec :

The M-spec is an additional BNR34 GT-R model which has been on sale since May 8th, 2001.

It sports a set of new comfort-developed shocks (called "Ripple-Control"), leather trim, soft and fine grip steering wheel, and aluminium bonnet.

This car represents the luxury version of the GT-R with performance almost equal to the V-spec II.

A special colour has also been developed for this new model. It is called "Champagne-Gold"(Multi-Flex Colour) (#EY0).

Other colours in the line up besides the Champagne Gold (#EY0) include: Black Pearl Metallic (#GV1), Sparkling Silver (#WV2), and White Pearl (#QX1).

Because of the extensive time needed to complete the hand sewn leather trim interior, only a limited edition of 50 cars per month will be made.

Difference from V-specII :

Leather trim with gold stitch

Seat heater (Fr)

Ripple-Control shock absorber

Softened stabilizer

Softened steering wheel (Fine-grip type)

Aluminum bonnet (Option : Carbon bonnet)

Exclusive colour : Champagne-Gold (#EY0)

Did the M-Spec get the N1 engine???

its hard to find info on the N1 as there arnt many around but this is what i could find.

they only came in white with an unpainted carbon fibre bonnet.

n1vspec2.jpg

The N1 is a spartan race car, designed to participate in N1 races.

Special equipment :

Twin ball bearing metal turbo-chargers

Extra large, air-cooled engine oil cooler

The main equipment deleted from the GT-R V.spec II :

Rear intermittent wiper

Rear fog lamp

Remote control entry system

Passenger's seat vanity mirror

Clean air filter

AM/FM electronic radio and CD player (equipped with aerial and wiring loom.)

Glove box damper & glove box lamp

Super-fine hard coat paint.

Equipment changes to GT-R V.spec II

UV cutting insulation and front door green glass --> green glass

Side indicator lamp --> reflector

Colour coded electric folding door mirror mount & body --> painted black

Leather hand brake lever --> resin

Leather centre console lid --> resin

Full auto air conditioner --> heater, with outside temperature display

¤ The N1 does not have any manufacturer's options. Note: The transmission, rear differential and transfer box oil coolers are all made by Nismo. The intercooler's carbon air guide is a dealer option.

¤ The body is only available in white <#QM1> and the carbon fibre bonnet comes unpainted.

Did the M-Spec get the N1 engine???

i duno i saw the N1 while flipin thro the latest HPI GTR Special

Yes, it did. The M-Spec Nur, and the V-Spec II Nur both got the N1 balanced engine with N1 conrods, pistons and crank, topped off with the gold cam cover.

AnthonyK1 - theres a midnight purple R34 N1 for sale on www.carsales.com.au.

Powerplay in Syd recently had a NUR for sale - nice @$170K. For the $80K you could save on a 99 V Spec you'd have to have too much money to get it.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
