hey guys,

things have come up and i need to clear some debts so unfortunately im selling my white evo 7. i've had it for 2 1/2years now with the car been on and off the road because my engine blew up while my tuner was tuning it. he told me a metal flake (showed me a 3x3mm metal flake) got clogged in my injector from dirty fuel (not sure why the fuel filter on the fuel pump missed it?), only recently got it tuned in sydney by micks motorsport. the car has 71 XXXkm on the clock but the engine was fully rebuilt at 64 XXXkm as a 2.3L stroker. i've tried to keep the car as stock looking as possible to avoid problems.

ENGINE:

Ralliart head studs

Mahle forged pistons

Spoon forged rods and bolts

ARD 2.3L forged crank

TD06SL2R 20G turbo

Brian crower valve springs with titanium retainers

bigger hydraulic lifters (stops ticking)

780cc Siemen Deka injectors

Walbro fuel pump

HKS 272 inlet/exhaust cams

HKS timing belt

HKS M40 spark plugs

Ralliart ignition leads

Bigger oil cooler

New bearings

Beatrush cooling panel

Balance shaft kit

Apexi air intake with genuine apexi enclosure

Trust style upper intercooler pipe

Greddy Type S bov on a hks flange (can supply a HKS Racing II for extra)

metal intake pipe

Tomei dump and front pipe

3inch hi flow cat

Xforce catback

Cusco oil catch can

B&M Short shift kit

Heavy duty clutch (installed 9000km ago)

Haltech PS1000 (no afm)

Haltech shift light with custom holder

head serviced, whole engine stripped apart cleaned, full gasket kit.

car was tuned in canberra and made 252kwatw on 20psi with 492Nm of torue (timing was retarded ALOT) but the tune wasnt good as it hesistated on take off, bad cold starts, etc. So i took it to micks (10th of june) who made 248.5kwatw 21psi (forgot to get a print out of the torque) but now the car runs perfectly now. mick made 270+kwatw with 25psi but i asked him to detune it because i didnt need that much power and wanted it to be a safe daily driver.

WHEELS/SUSPENSION/BRAKES:

Enkei tarmac rally rims 17x8 with REO1R potenza's with nitrogen

Whiteline front and rear sway bars with whiteline front and rear end-links

DBA 4000 Front and rear rotors

INTERIOR:

Defi Boost and oil pressure gauge with control unit II, 2 defi warning lights (boost and oil)

Monster dual pillar gauge holder (60mm)

JVC single din head unit 3.5inch colour screen, plays DVD, avi, divx, mp3, etc. with ipod cable so direct control through head deck.

Apline 6x9

Rhino alarm, shock sensor, glass break sensor, boot/bonnet/door triggers, microwave sensor. the alarm is also controlled via sms, lock/unlock, with a fuel cut - so if someone has your keys and has dis-armed the alarm you can sms it and cut fuel. also sms's you if the any one of the triggers has gone off (tells you which one), if no response it will call you. the alarm will be, reprogrammed for new owner.

EXTERIOR:

Genuine evo 9 rear bar (brackets, lights, etc)

car has had all oils changed at 40k with full synthetics (rear dif, gearbox, transfer case), engine oil is always changed at 5000km intervals with K&N oil filters except the last one as they didnt have them in stock. will throw in a bottle of full synthetic with a K&N oil filter with sale (oil change no due for another 4000km). I've put well over 30k on this car which i payed 30k for 2 1/2 years ago, chasing $35k

pm me or contact me on 0401573850

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
