Weight Deduction On My 33..

hey guys im on a quest to lighten up my R33 gts-t a bit, now i know the basic stuff like rear seats,spare wheel..but removing the rear seat is kinda noticable.. ive heard of sound deadening being taken out and the car losing quite a bit of weight from it.

just wondering where it all is? im not fussed on a excess noise in the cabin, i actually prefer it lol so all help would be greatly appreciated.

Rip all the carpets out, the sound deadening is underneath. Can be removed through the use of Dry Ice.

Personally I wouldn't bother unless you're serious on drag or circuit racing

for street use it isn't worth removing the sound deadening just to get maybe 2 km extra out of a tank of juice as that is all you would probably save

Take out airbags

Remove side skirts

purchase a set of lighter rims

take off your inner door panel/cover (The one thats on the inside with the window buttons and all), then start chopping the doors inner metal fram, put inner door panel back on. You'd be surprised how much lighter it is, but....safety wise..it aint a smart move

lol i dont think i'll go that far, but thanks for the input anyway! errm another question to ask. ive just got a power fc and im going to get the car tuned fairly soon, how much power from standard will be looking at?

split dump with 3" piping all the way to a cannon (no mufflers)

boosting 5>7psi

with a tune should be making 250+

Would definitely recommend this to anyone, just a waste of space. May as well take out the brake rotors as well, 4x a lot of excess weight right there!

Don't bother wasting your time and money.

Your car is close enough to stock with those simple mods. You only starting going for serious weight reductionif you are already making 400+hp and you want your car to be a serious track weapon.

I always LOL at some of the people on these forums.
