i may have made a post about it before, but does anyone know why my speedo would be out by 50%? its been like this ever since i blew up my original 25DE gearbox and put a 25DET gearbox in its place. and yeah basically speedo reads half of what it should. was just thinking about it then, iv learnt to live with it but it would be nice to have it accurate. anyone know what may cause this and what the best way is to fix it? car was a non-turbo at the start of its life, since done DET conversion and bits and peices.

did you use the speed sender out of your DE box in the DET box? I would have thought they were the same but it seems like the sender is the only thing that could be the problem if all youve changed is the gearbox and nothing on the instrument cluster is broken

yeah thats the only thing i would have thought. havnt got round to doing that yet but probly will. box is laying around somewhere.other than that im all out of ideas, apart from using a GTS-T cluster (?)

Always use the sender from the gearbox you remove. With 15-20 year old cars the only thing that is sound is what you know DOES work.

Why gamble a sender from another gearbox if your own works, thats the moral of the story. Plus Nissan has been known to change sender gear sizes from model to model in the past, you will probably find the two of them have a different size gear.
