car was stolen from work,I'm a chef so whoever stole it knew I was working there and that I'd be busy at that time

the exhaust is blisteringly loud, although I stand under a commercial range hood all night and we were getting raped tonight and were super busy

there's no way in the word I'd have even heard an alarm go off anyways, thought the clublocked would be sufficient for the time being

and nightcrawler, there's no need to be a dick all your life

guys are having there cars flogged all over the shop and all your doing is kicking them while there down

even if my alarm was fitted today,I wouldn't have heard it from inside the kitchen

wait till someone steals something of yours that you have poured thousands of dollars into,a shitload heap of work

not a nice feeling mate

especially wen you have paperwork in the car with your current address blah blah

try having your car stolen, then being super worried and rushing home to make sure your wife and 8month old boy are ok

f**k the car,my families safety is more important

who knows whether these donkeys would go down the path of robbing my house too

I know this was said in anger and you have since retracted it, but I make some fair points, you have to agree. Cars keep going missing and they all have no alarms. There is no excuse. And fyi (and for those criminals out there possibly reading this), I have a pager alarm with every sensor under the sun, 2 kill switches, Club lock, and if I am parking it anywhere remotely risky will pull some fuses the car can't start without. So if they want my car that badly and can get past all those things, then they are welcome to it.

And if you had a pager alarm (like myself and many members on here) then you don't need to be in earshot to hear your alarm going off. I have been parked at Munno Para shops and bolted outside due to my pager going off to see some shady characters near my car.

I sincerely hope your car turns up and these lowlifes get exactly what they deserve - and that is the next 10 years in a cell with Big Bubba. Or even better we get tipped off and can deal with them ourselves without involving the police.

all good if they scare easy, but if they bash you and steal ur shit, nothing u can do

agree with all of the above tho. i find having 2 dogs and a samurai sword among the many other security systems helps me sleep well at night

Farken hell

this clown must be wanting to go to jail

he's been seen today on 6 separate occassions now, mainly eastern suburbs, now down the bay

if anyone does see it again, call the coppers asap,I've reported every sighting to them today

and everytime he's been flogging it and speeding

if this twat kills someone in my car,I'll end up feeling like a flamin mongrel

anyone know how to do a p.i.t monevure like they do on cops?

I'd love to see that

there was just over quarter tank left in her,any way of contacting a bunch of servos to maybe get a hit?

Surely worth a try mate, if i were in your shoes i would be doing everything possible. Mustv'e been filled up somewhere..all servos have cameras as well

From what I can see

there's a heap of imports out tonight getting around

hopefully this stooge tags along with someone who's read this thread, and the thread on ns,and the one on supra.com,or facebook,or myspace

beleive me i'm trying to find it,so any advice on what to do now would be swell

Didnt see it up greenhill road or through crafers about an hour ago, wasnt around windies either.. Fair few imports around as you said so hopefully someone sees it, if your out stop and tell everyone with an import if they've stopped somewhere, get the word out.. Fair few cops around too.. Cops are no good though, they dont chase if he goes too fast...

Well, was hoping for a call last night at some stage

nothing...

If anyone sees this flamin mongrel today

just run him off the road,I can't handle this shit much longer

I just want it over and done with

all the lads are out and about today, with the soul purpose of looking for it

the thief would want to hope it's the police that find him first,he's upset more than me that's for sure

thanks for everyones help thoughout this ordeal so far,you guys have been f**ken ace

and wen it's over I'd like to buy you all a pint

saw it again today, this time on portrush road around 10.30am just past the parade intersection.

gave the 5-0 a call but with the speed he was doing, theres no chance they'll get there in time.

didn't spot the driver either, by the time i realised it was the right car... it was gone. :P

this theif must be a complete f**king moron...

ill be heading out for a drive in the sedan shortly, will keep an eye out too. (as I'll be around eastern and north eastern suburbs)

Ok all,quick update

car and menace are still at large

have reported today's sighting to sapol

my guess is he's living around glynburn rd portrush area as it's been seen mainly around there

police have said that seen as it's been seen so many times by you guys and the lads on ns.com that if anyone sees her again that they should follow it at a distance to wait for him to park it somewhere

I'll sling the person a case of their favourite beers if they follow it till it stops somewhere and it leads us to getting the car recovered

please remember, don't be a hero, stay safe as it's not worth getting in a prang to give chase to this banana

thanks again guys

my numbers 0421754575 if you see it ring me first, then the police

hey rod, sucks to hear about this man especially how close to home it was taken.

i live around the area, i usually drive past your restaurant on my way home from work.

definitely been keeping my eye out for the dog who took it.

Cheers Pete

really hoping this ends sooner rather than later wen innocent people may get hurt

been talking to a few guys, someone suggested it maybe getting used as a transport car for dodgy dealings

there was a stag pinched couple years back that was being used for that purpose as their big and fairly quick if they need to leg it from the cops

This is out of hand! hope they get done.. sounds very alike to a mate Rx 7 that got stolen a couple of years ago they cruised around for about three days getting sighted a few times in the end a guy gave chase in another import that knew my mate but they got away in the hills then burnt the car to the ground. Hope this doesn't happen to you So i would say keep your distances as Rodney said!

hope you get your car back in one piece mate and these F**kers get court..

    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
