Painting Over Old Ceramic Coating.

Hi all,

I purchased some used front & dump pipes earlier this year. They have already been ceramic coated, which still looks in good nick/ not cracked etc.

Just to pretty them up I was going to go over them with some black heat resistant spray paint. Questions;

- Would this be harmful / work against the ceramic coating already applied? Shoudl I just leave as is?

- Any prep besides cleaning? Should I use a scourer over the coating before applying paint etc or just apply primer and paint?
