Hello can anyone tell me what is the holdup with r34 compliance at dotars. Is it only the evidence packages and if so what are the dramas workshops are facing with the evidence packages. How can i find out when someone may be able to start complying and what other workshops are currently carrying out the raws certification proceedures.

The major hold up is evidence some ADRS are not passing. Also it takes 6 months from the time u book the GOV to come out and look at you'r car. It sux. R34's should be righ to go in around 2-3months but it is alwayz being pushed back ALWAYZ. plus it dosnt help when DOTARS are letting go of there employes every 4-6 months. There used to be over 20 ppl working in DOTARS. At the start of this year there was 12 now I belive there are 9.

It realy cant be said when someone will have them on there list but ppl keep saying that they will have them in the next few weeks so that customers will stay in contact with them but the truth is they dont know. I know of a work shop that says they have them but I look at the DOTARS website everyday and still nobody has them.

I hope they come soon but I would not import for another 4 months after the first RAW gets approval as there will be a bidding war on cars and aslo compliance price will drop later this year for R34's.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
