would of loved to go but because im selling my car i didnt want to risk braking anything..last one was awsome..but like said above, too many cars, thats why u wanna get there later once everyones cars have over heated.

and as for the guy above..all the slow cars when i went id overtake easily on the straight..main straight is pretty long, managed to hit about 160km/h

That's all folks!

Sooo, who went to Winton today? We cruised up there in the FTO, been doing too many Km's in the 34 lately. 1500 kms a week is to much for my poor baby.

Any one see us?

1st time around i passed this white r34 but i think it must have been a non turbo, any1 here? had green p plates

I saw you there... also saw that pplater... I was in the other white R34, but GTT with the Mich Man Sticker on the number plate and my partner was in the White Subi B4.

There were 2 Stegeas on the track that day. Chasers looked friggen sweeeeeet!

Charlie were you walking around with a rather large very pro looking camera with a huge zoom on it??? She looked a bit like you (well from those photos from Europe) I was going to say hi but I thought mer what are the odds that it's her.

Brenton: is that subi b4 the 1 that spun just after the long straight? u were driving pretty good charlie nice neat car. that silvia went pretty hard and was in mint condition. thanx ashneel.

that bloddy typoon or maybe it was a bf xr6 turbo was up my ass for half a lap because this au xr6 wouldent let me pass then when i got the oppurtunity the turbo bf or typhoon overtook me and i got stuck there again. any1 know who was in that side swiping crash the official was talking about in the 2nd drivers breifing??? how do ya's think i drove btw?

That was my camera... a blonde friend used it for a while, and i was using it too (brunette :3) I was wearing a Honda Repsol hoody?

That's made it my third attendance and I'm pretty sure I'll continue going :)

Ash... I saw the Chasers... wanted to graph them, but for some reason I felt a little bit like ninjas would pop out of the pits and start going crazy on my arse. They let off that kind of presence... and there was three! :P I will be more bold next time :P

Slink what were you driving???

I wasn't driving this time Charlie I was doing the mummy thing sitting with my son.

That's a huge camera, I did see you though, u were near the fence, I may have seen your friend too.

charlie didnt even see you there lol

if anyone has taken pics of the chasers can you please PM me and ill send you my email address to get copies.

Are these the ones?

I was there in my little silver S2000 carving up the feild. It was ok, but i found the number of cars on the track to be a bit frustrating.

did any get any shots of my S2K, also my mate in his black one?

cheers. :)

Was yours the S2000 with the team wang racing sticker on the front window??? Didn't look to bad

yeah that was me :) it goes pretty hard for a stock standard car :D

and my mate had the other black S2 that was there. theres some nice shots, good work :)

Shepo- Nice I was having a little stare at yours, it looks nice. I noticed you had a front mounted camera in a clear perspex case; Can you buy the housing or did you have to get it made up??? It looked like it was affixed with a GPS style suction cup?

    • I hope it's actually possible. This is a write off in insurance world.
    • Yup. 2-way with shallow ramp angles. Still works.
    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
    • OK, so update from the track day on Friday It was a classic "an unfortunate series of events'. There were a few cars around and when i checked my mirror coming out of the fish hook I notice some smoke from the rear of mine. Looked again and it was getting much worse, I figured I'd blown a turbo or something to got off it and pulled off the racing line. However.... since it is a left hairpin into a right kink, I was on the inside of the next corner. There was a car passing me on the left and a big drop off over the ripple strip on the right......and someone had knocked the witch's hat that was on the apex about 1m onto the track. So, between those 3, I decided to mow down the cone and not damage my car/the other car. Right choice, but surprising result.  The car decided the cone was a small pedestrian so it blew the rear bonnet hinges up to protect their head in the upcoming person to car impact....I didn't see that coming and like an airbag deployment it happened super fast. Straight into the pits from there, everything was driving fine but it became clear it was a coolant leak not smoke, it was billowing up onto the windscreen. Onto the trailer and home. I'll do a separate thread about the repair (once I work out what it is ), but the immediate problem was the bonnet wouldn't open because the front was pinched onto the front bar and would not release. Ultimately we unbolted the hinge from the bonnet, pulled it back a little and it released from the front OK. "There's your problem", the top radiator hose had popped off at the radiator.
