nah.. guess i'll call him friday and ask (when he said it would be back). I'm sure it will be "we've been really really busy.. its going to be another couple of weeks".

Guess not too fussed, the longer it takes the longer i have to save to pay for it.. and get ready for the $800 for the timing belt and things after that. Money money money is so funny, when you're burning it all away..

Just called Don from DMD... My bar is ready :D

Will pick it up on saturday hopefully if my car is all good again....

Glenn do you think Don will be able to fix my Top secret front bar...? I found the long lost 4th peice of it in my garage... I forgot I even picked it up after the accident... And I think there may be a chance he could make a mould out of it... hmmmm

not likely though. had a similar request once from my mate. he wanted Don to fix up his 180sx front bar but Don said something abt it may not hold or might as well get a new one.

Yeah exactly, I mean make a whole new mould from it... he asked if I had all the peices when I first went there... now that I have all the peices it may be possible...

I know the feeling, strange how one small island can take away my 3 inch exhaust turbo back :D

Yeah, bloody incidents like a head on with a pole...

lol

I mean ive spent over $4k so far sadly after that ;) and then add to that the bill to fix the engine goings on and a new clutch...

if they can make a mould, shouldn't matter if its in a couple of pieces if you can sorta temporary stick them together..

should be jumping at the chance.. usually these body kit places have a shithouse selection of kits to choose from..same old

hmmmm Im looking for some part time work so I can leave my current job and have money coming in so I can study for my full license...

If anyone knows of anything going let me know :D

Gordo, your dead right, they can patch it up then make a mould.... and sling me some cash from being able to copy a rare front bar...

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
