Yeh was there standing around with 61rly and some other mates..... saw some fool in a series 5 rx7 fly past the carpark and then seeing red blues after him... :) :burnout:

There were quite a few idiots and ignorant wankers there on saturday night. Trying to get out of the carpark was horrid! Plus the wankers not letting people out in traffic. That REALLY annoys me :)

er, it *is* BWCP :)

low 12's would be good.. not in the current R33.. i don't want to spend another $20k on a car that would maybe only get another $5k more than its worth now.

but i have other plans i think :) hatching

No warranty on the rebuild, they offer warranty on their motors but worded their way around it, I got nothing on paper so its outta my pocket.

I sold my house in Townsville up 56% in two years, so for once Im not having to empty my pockets to find the money. Still not a nice situation.

If you HAPPEN to be thinking about stroking your engine... i've had a look into it.... been recommended otherwise. So i'm still shopping round for ideas :)

true.. i am "Mr Plans" .. Never happy with what i got..

i had the plan to buy the r33 12 months before i did.. was so cool for the first year, after that its gone down hill a little :)

Car isn't officially for sale yet.. When it is, i'll post up on here. THinking might start next week, when i can put up "just had all this really expensive crap done to it" ..lol

Tomorrow its going in for water pump, timing belt and camgear at gavins. Must make sure i bring the right car down! as i don't drive the r33 to the goldcoast usually.

i ain't stroking anything ! :)

hmm/... i remember those things too. .that time when you had money in the back for "stuff" .. then along came the r33 and savings went to antarctica where i think they still are hanging around with penguins and stuff.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
