Looking for expressions of interest in my 98 model RS4-S that I have. Has front end damage. Can be repaired and it is not on any registers as written off / repairable write off so no hassles in re registering it. Have got quotes to fix and just for the parts and some labour to do the metal work is looking around the $900 mark and then parts for the remainder of the front. Pics of before and after can be found here - http://s266.photobucket.com/albums/ii243/David_Casey/Stagea/

Selling with standard rims that are pictured. Was only a low speed crash but a towball hit the front of the drivers side chassis rail so that needs the front section cut off and a new section welded on which can be ordered through Nissan. Can supply part numbers for the chassis rail parts and for the radiator support section. I got quoted $320 for the whole radiator support new through my local Nissan.

Not looking to part out at the moment unless I don't get any serious offers. It is a genuine RS4-S Dayz with a 5 speed manual and NEO RB25DET AWD. Motor has approx 170000k on the clock. (Just a bit under but close enough. Interior is clean as and have had no problems with it. Motor still runs just need radiator and fan. Inspections welcome and can take more photo's if anything else is needed. No stereo will be in the car.

Looking for offers around the $9000 mark but is negotiable. Serious offers only please. At the moment NOT parting out car but may if no intrerest in whole car being sold.

Any questions please ask. Car is located in Hervey Bay, QLD. 4655

Forgot to mention that there is also 2 cargo blinds a set of new stagea floor mats (Don't think genuine but new and not used with Logo.) and if sold for the right price a Front mount cooler with piping set up for factory inlet/outlet.

Price dropped to $8000 as is. Any interest at all? Really don't want to part this. I just don't have the time or cash to fix this. Will look at selling a few bits and pieces in the next couple of days.

Any offers for $6500? Keen to sell this as a whole still. Bills mounting up and no other car as of yet so would love this gone. Any interest then phone or message on 0438 758 717 or message here.

Well, now that I have been screwed for work over christmas/ new year period etc, I will be putting up a new thread in the next couple of days with prices for parts as I will be stripping the car. (Much to the wifes disgust but bills are mounting). Will be stripping the whole car and will be willing to post but may need peoples help organising freight/ couriers if people want large items sent interstate. Gotta work out prices and what parts to keep together as a package so keep an eye on my new thread. Also as I am only slightly mechanically minded, if you are after an obscure part then I may need a photo to locate. At this stage motor/ box/ ecu will be kept as a package but will see what interest I have.

Thanks

Dave

    • Hang on. Let me get this straight. The desire is to have coilovers, BC in particular, to be MORE comfortable on Sydney roads than stock suspension? Well, that's obviously not right. BCs have crude damping design at the very best, and typically hard spring rates. BC stands for Billy Cart. And then, the desire is to put in some shitty old worn out stockers, to get it blue slipped and then put the BCs back in? And then.....what? Not worry about getting pulled up by the Plod? Because you seem to have raised a worry about paying for engineering (which actually does solve all your legality problems) and still getting pulled up.... but the only problem there is that if/when that happens you have to show your paperwork at the inspection station. Whereas, if you just swap in borrowed shitty old stockers to get it slipped now, and then you get defected in the future, you have to go find more shitty old stockers then too. You course of action looks like this set of options: Buy brand new stock type dampers, and springs. probably cost a bit more than $1k all up, but will last for the remaining life of the car. Put them in, pass inspection, drive on them forever more. Hell, they could even be really nice Bilsteins and Kings or other lower&stiffer springs if you wanted. Get the car engineered as is. ~$1k. Buy new Shockworks coilvers (or MCA) and also pay for engineering. You're spending a lot more here. But these will be the best things that you could drive around on.
    • Might be worthwhile hitting up Facebook's groups, I know most of them contain terrible people and scammers - however you might be able to find someone that's in Sydney with factory suspension you could purchase and/or hire. Just do not send any form of money anywhere, in person cash only.
    • Thanks @Duncan Ride height is fine. I think it's almost stock tbh. Happy to share a pic. I don't actually have a regular mechanic as haven't lived in Sydney too long. Could you or anyone recommend any shops in Sydney?
    • You just need a different blue slip shop (preferably one you regularly use as a mechanic), and make sure the coil overs are as close as possible to standard height
    • yeah the sugar refining companies were pushing for the same in Oz originally, all fuels were going to have 10% ethanol to make them "cheaper" (noting, that the loss in l/100 might be greater than the decrease in price). I guess they won that fight in Canadia
