to families, friends and comrades of those who have perished, i wish you well, i hope that the company and the authorities can learn from this horrible disaster. From one miner to another, i am truely sorry my brothers, one day you will be united again.

This is one gigantic horrible mess!

I pray now for the families and friends of those who have died - that resolution and comfort come out of this, during these early days.

Christmas will never have the same meaning again!!!

One poor victim was only 17 - on his first shift - in his first mine!

It is terribly sad.

The last few, where miners have been rescued, are the absolute exception to the rule. This is the awful reality.

Mining, and tunneling are incredibly dangerous occupations, done by very brave men & women.

Spare a thought for EVERY miner, not just these 29 poor souls. Every day is a day their families could lose a father, mother, daughter, or son.

Rest well brave men, your toil here is done.

The last few, where miners have been rescued, are the absolute exception to the rule. This is the awful reality.

Too true Dale: the recent Chilean and Chinese entombed miners were sourcing nickel and gold.

This one by comparison, re: coal seams, is riddled with methane/ethane gas.

The sombre mood around Greymouth atm must be 'deafening'.

...stopped over for 1 night there in '93

The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
    • Yeah it is wild how much wider the Yokohama A050 in 255/40R17  vs Yokohama AD09 in 255/40R17 sits on the 17x9 +22 considering its even from the same brand and adjacent product family
    • Would love to see some examples of WMI making the same as E85. Only thing I've ever found is this one.  Which suggests WMI is not worth much at all.
    • And now the washer bottle looks like an orphan. You're going to have to spend money on a wrinkle black painted fabbed ally one of those. Oh, and the brake MC res. That won't look any good after you've gotten rid of the washer bottle. You going to need to go back to work to keep up with this?
