R34 Boot Key Barrel Problem

Heya guys,

Minor annoyance on my R34 GTT. The key barrel for the boot lid has come loose, and the whole barrel can move freely out of it's hole.

There was also a loose object rattling around inside the boot lid until I shook it so hard it fell down a gap and stopped making noise.

I assume this was some sort of "clip" that held the key barrel in place.

Just curious to find out if anyone knows how the key barrel is secured and if I can source the clip, or whatever it is, someplace to fix it!

not sure specifically on the 34, but on most cars the barrel actually bolts into place. the object loose was probably the bolt. if there is any trim on the inside of the bootlid then you need to pull that off and have a look through the bracing to try and see the back of the barrel.
