anyone seen the new(i think) workshop for skylines on...

Recommended Posts

um i dont know the name... it looks very dodgy... looks like an old petrol station with skyline posters everywhere..... if you drive down poath road, turn left (at the round about) into kangeroo road and its on your right near the bend

I'll take my line there... if someone will take the drive with me. (in a few weeks when it is running of course)

and if they dunno what bits are on it right off the bat.

I'll walk out of there laughing.

HAHA sounds good man....

walk on in and say somethin like...

"i just got this car right... and i want more boost.... how do i go about it and wheres the turbo?"

I think everyones being a bit harsh, they're probably new and dont have much money etc for advertising/ good workshop.

Ive seen pics of heaps of workshops in japan and they all look like little sheds and they still pump out good quality cars. Eg reckless in one of the latest eds of HPI.

But then again they could post on here for free and they havent, and you think if they specialised in skylines they would know about australia's leading skyline website.

Yes definately a bit harsh - I would hate to be starting a new business specialising in Skylines if thats the response you get...

***think positive thoughts***

If they are dodgy then they probably wont last [not with educated people at least] but I think they deserve a chance nonetheless.

I think its great somebody is trying to look after our kind - I don't think there is enough around personally, not in my area and not like the industry in the rest of OZ...

EDIT*

I am sick of people either thinking I have an R33 [gtst] or that the parts are the same or calling my car an R34GTS-T - i mean really, is it that hard to know???

[This has happened with just about any workshop you care to name].

I will go to down this place and get me a

NISMO sticker :(

j/k

there is a difference between bagging a shop and saying ur going to go down and check out their knowledge on what they profess as being specialists in.

WTF?

How was i bagging. I agree with narkie on this.

I going to see if they know i have a GT30 is far from bagging.

if they do know, then good luck to them. Cant see how it was bagging at all

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
