Eheh thanks for that :). Can they be painted? I was wondering how much do they retail for second hand? Im gonna keep them but im curious how much the old owner bought them for lol

Secondhand prices can have a wide range. They are desirable, but you need to strike the right person at the right time. And it also depends on what brand of car it suits, so you can advertise it on their respective forums.

For instance, I have Advan RG I rims and if wanted to sell them, I'd be advised to sell them here, on Honda and Mazda forums too.

Super Advan V2 came out with spokes of 6 different colours + polished rims > so yes, they can be painted or powdercoated.

Welcome :)

nice colour! Certainly don't see many of them around. My advice would be.. sell your bodykit, and put the proceeds towards something else. Maybe get a series 2 wing (not a fan of the s1 wing). I'd also look at getting the tune looked at, if you say it hasn't been on the dyno since the turbo went on.

Enjoy

Ya its at the mechanic atm ill get him to give it a good tune it was knocking over 60+ in 5th gear at 90 - 120 on the m5 so might have that looked at. The previous guy ran the dyno tune to make it run a lil lean...

In terms of the bodykit why do you say it?

And thanks Miss r34 :) your thread was a heap of lolz i must thank you :) eheh

You're welcome Mr. Sid ;)

Just not a huge fan of them, i guess if you have monster wide rims and want a show car look then maybe. It's hard to pull off a big kit, you have to have everything done right. I prefer lowered on factory kit, think it looks much neater.

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
