If anyone recalls Ten Four mentioning in a thread a few hours ago that he has 2 holes on his bonnet, I've photoshopped them.

Thanks James for the photo opp for the R32.

If you haven't seen my intro thread (sorry if it's in the wrong folder) , http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/354073-hello-all/

I'm a student from Singapore and I'm studying in UWA, currently I've got a 96 Falcon but I'm trying to sell it and find a N/A Silvia or Skyline for under 4K

If you've got a R33 or R34 GTR, I'm up to do a shoot for you guys. James told me about a Blue R33 GTR V Spec LM, I drooled at the photos that I googled.

Here's some of the photos I took for him earlier this week.

Awesome mate!

Sorry about the dirty car/holes! Nice editing

As for the LM, maybe you should PM Pal ;)

Mickey, your gorgeous 34GTR is wanted!

The holes were easy to cover up, the crack was a little tough. No problem mate ;)

Pic's are great. I'll have to tee up some pics of the LM with you then hey??? may try and get 32godzilla (Craig) to come as well with his 34 GTR and show that to the wider community

Pal, if you do, I would be really happy to shoot yet another beast! Let me know soon, I'm free everyday till next weekend before uni starts and I'll get a little busy. I've PMed you my mobile

You go to UWA right? Take some photos of our UWAM racecars at O-Day!

You're from UWA too? Any chance you're the yellow R33 that's always parked at Business school?

When's O day? Next Friday?

Yeah from UWA as well, I'm the black Z32 usually parked alongside Hackett or at the Reid Library carpark. It's not running though so I will be driving my R32 to uni. O-Day is 25th next Friday... see you there?

We'll see... I'm in Currie actually so I'll try to haul my butt over. PMed you my FB ;)

Yeah I'm keen - would love some pics of the 260 and the GTR together!! (Although the 260 needs stone chips fixed and GTR new bottom lip) Let me know if you're keen to catch up somewhere, above pics look great! :)

Zomg keen to come and watch this happen!

Melvin made my car look better than it is :P

I normally work mon-fri but I have to go down to Bunbury on Weds night for a funeral. But anytime after 6pm is good for me depending on location. Obviously weekends would be better.

I only have one external flash unit so it wouldn't look nice at night, I use it as a filler for day shots.

I'm free on weekends I guess but lots of places will be packed.

6pm is still alright as it gets dark only at 7pm but it might not be enough time for more then one car.

The Mustang I took was between 5 - 6pm last November.

Of course, if you guys would like rolling shots like those you see in the link above or the Ferrari (taken in Singapore) below, I will need another car (I'll be popping out of the window) so if James is coming along, that will be just nice!

Looking forward to meet you guys :)

Haha!! Lucky it's not my funeral, but is a close member of the family so I shouldn't take it lightly. If you need to make it 5pm I could prob do that. Could always drive the car to work, but my partner Jo drives the Stag daily so it would need a really good polish... It is looking a bit shabby unfortunately.

Also, not sure what you shoot with but I have a Nikon SB900 speedlite you're quite welcome to use as a slave if need be-I also love a good rolling shot. I've done a few with my mates 33 GTR in Adelaide.... Nothing like above but not too shabby. Anyways, keep me updated. ;)

I've got a 580EX II, Canon user >_<

Let's try to arrange a time I guess. Rolling shots best done before night unless there are tunnels around.

i was more aiming for you to have a sicky Craig, wasn't anything to do with the funeral. ok, well as i said, im free through to thursday. where r u located Melvin. not sure of any good places for a shoot local but plenty of carparks with beach views.

There's one place James recommended and I tried it before for a FPV and a Commodore, under Narrows Bridge

I'm at Crawley, staying in a college in UWA

    • Cheers. Skyline is back on the menu, can’t get rid of it. It’s like a child you don’t want, or herpes
    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
