But i can't find any place in melbourne who can install and paint this bodykit to my car..... Can you guys tell me any good place ...........Any help will be highly appreciated..... I livein Bacchus Marsh( vic) .......................One thing more i want to discuss with you guys...... I am afraid that i bought a wrong front bumper for my car as my car's front is changed to series-2 but my car is Series-1............... And i think i bought the front bumper to fit on series-1...................... Do you guys think that i can still put on the bumper on my car or not????? Thanks guys.................

hey mate

i got a car currently at team jetspeed, they are located in clayton, do a google and you will find there details

they are costly but the quality of the work is among the best

ive had my previous 2 cars go through them for bodykits and i will recommend them to anyone.

if you wanna save a bit of coin dt pannels in springvale do good work as well

however a workshop will do its best to fit the bodykit up as well as they can but all comes down to the quality of bars you have purchased

also i have a series 2 skyline with an aftermarket series 1 bar and it fitted up nicly, just pokes out 1mm under the headlight which u cannot see anyways cos if the slight difference in curve to front end between the two cars

hope this helps you out

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for your replies and help.......... I buzz this Jetspeed in Clayton and this lady on phone quoted me $1300 to install and paint the bodykit but she said this quote doesn't include any modification if they have to do to fit the bodykit,,,,,,,,,,, i told her about the story of my front bar that how my car's front is Series-2 and i bought the front bar for series-1................. She asked me about the name of the front bar and i told her its TRUST FRONT BUMPER BAR for SKYLINE R33 and she said that bar will not fit my car ............. i am surprised as you guys told me in your replies that one of u's actullay got Series-1 bar on Series-2 skyline.........I think she got no idea about the situation and just making it up so i have to buy another front bar from her as she told me that she also got TRUST BAR for Series-2 skyline..... I don't know what to do ........but i don't want to buy another front bar as this one cost me $500 by itself......... any help guys.............. sorry to bother u's again............thanks :worship:

hey mate picked up my car from there today fully painted and fitted, yes they are pretty costly but they do a top job...i did provide a side skirt that they dont provide/source and they had a few headaches to fit it up, but they got it on looking very good, i actually went down half way during the process to see how the side skirts would line up (as i was unsure myself because of random supplier i havent bought of previously) and they had to shave of lots of the side skirt to get it on so it looks good.

i do have a series 1 aftermarket front bar on my series 2...TOP SECRET is a series 1 front bar...now when i bought it the guy who fits it couldnt guarentee perfect fitment but i liked the bar so i went through with it, yes it did fit however it pokes out 1-2mm near the headlight due to the difference in front end shape between the 2 models.

i had a mate who used to own a series 2 r33 with a TRUST front bar, and he had the same 1-2mm poking out round the headlights (but tbh u can hardly see it)

but as a business they want whatever car that comes in, to go out with the highest quality standard of work, so thats why they might have seemd a bit not willing to fit what you have there, but the answer to your question is, yes it will fit your car however how good it sits on the car is a different question, if i were you i would go down and speak to them in person let them see the bar and they can tell how it will line up etc

thanks very much mate for your reply and advice........... Just need to know one more thing that how much you paid to get your bodykit fitted and painted..............I will go there sometime during this week with my bodykit .................. and talk to the guys who actually fits it........thanks anyway mate,,,,,,,,,,,,,, cheers

don't bother with jetspeed

go DT panels if you've got a budget - go micolour if you want a high quality job, but... firstly..

where did you get the bodykit from?

I thought Trust's front bar was designed FOR the R33..... either this isn't true or the lady has no idea what's she's bullshitting about, which I would lean towards the latter more.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
