hello' yes problem is it runs 1000rpm.and connot,no mater what i do get it below 20 degrees timing? any ideas anyone. thanks. .

.

)its also cutting out over 12psi boost. tryed stock ecu and another that sopose to be mapped for higher boost, and cuts taken off. but but ecu's seem to run the same

.have t04,but shouldnt be that causeing probs with to much air.(

front mount

greedy intake

t04

38mm wastegate

3'' way throught

pod

manual.--- - with auto ecu-and manual mapped ecu--have mapped 1 in now.

bleeder

fuel reg

thats bout it i think for mods

You need to get the idle correct. There should be a tutorial somewhere on how to adjust it using the screw in the AAC valve.

Then make sure that the timing light you are using is not doubling the reading when you are checking base timing. Best to go "old school" by inserting a spark plug lead between #1 coil and #1 spark plug, then measure the timing off the lead.

the AAC valve screw is right in.. if i wind it out a little it revs to 1500rpm. .no mater if i turn cas.it stays on 20'. ...could cas be a tooth out??? i can put the timing on -15 in an active test.from conzult or somthing sounds right. but as i carnt burn it to ecu. it jumps back to 20. in saying that. when on -15. the conzult reads 10 degrees. some say auto motors came out running 20 degrees, but shouldnt mean i carnt get it to 15 somhow

Are you sure there are no air leaks anywhere?

+1

Intake manifold/plenum/throttle body gasket, vacuum line off/leaking, dud brake booster etc..

If not:

-A scantool will help (ie check what the IAC is doing, if the car's staying on cold start and holding the idle too high)

-Check your throttle body isn't jammed/being help open.

-Dodgy MAF?

Are you sure there are no air leaks anywhere?--)--------- yeah to me that sounds the prob,i will check today.

Intake manifold/plenum/throttle body gasket, vacuum line off/leaking, dud brake booster etc..--)----------------------------- will do proper check today.

-A scantool will help (ie check what the IAC is doing, if the car's staying on cold start and holding the idle too high--)-------------------------------what is IAC sopose to be reading at idle ??i have a scantool..

-Check your throttle body isn't jammed/being help open.--)----------------------------------------------will also check that today.

-Dodgy MAF?--)----------------------------could most likely be-it was throwing maf connection code, and makeing motor just stop random. till i earthed the E to the chassis hasnt really done it since, but still could be stuffed..

thanks guys appreiate th help ill give them a go and see what happens. also have nistune but no ECU yet. is there somthing in the program to look for tht might help, such as levels of sensors, everthing should be basicly stock.

ok i think ive sorted air leek found 1 round addaptor plate to throttlebody, prob now is it cuts out on boost random boost levels. i will try mates coils, but any ideas way it would cut at low boosts and motor surges when pulling up,like geting way to much fuel.

    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
    • Should have taken that opportunity to slot in a twin scroll turbo setup. Maybe next time.
