Car is back, Serviced and tuned. Making 341hp with more to come, I ran out of Dyno money because my radiator decided that it didn't need a top pipe connector.

Feels really responsive under power and feels nice and granny spec when cruising around town in higher gears. Not running rich now and when you hit the hammer she really goes.

A bit more work will pull another 30 - 40hp (to tune the duty on the ebc to keep the boost up at the end of gears) but I am leaning towards going to a GT35R.

Really happy with Richard at All Star Tuning in Brendale.

Car broke down this morning on the way to work. Lost power during gear change and wouldnt kick over again. Hoping its just a battery related issue and i can jump start it. Unfortunately due to having to get to work i had to ditch her on the ride of the road, walk back the 2kms to home and grab my daily

No that feel, my bluebird decided it wanted to break this morning as well the bar between the throttle and the butterfly valve for the air flow came loose, zip-tied back together for a temp fix

That sucks man. Ive never HAD to leave my car sitting on the side of the road for long. Hope its something simple

I have, when my fuel pump shit it self, oh and when I broke two wheel studs, oh and when I ran out of fuel :)

After coming back to the car and not being half asleep and 4am in the morning.. I'm feeling its fuel pump. Kicks over fine, can't hear the fuel pump when I turn the car on.. Pumps brand new so hopefully it's an easy fix

So the part that's broken on the bluebird I'm gonna have to get from Nissan themselves anyone know where on ecan go to get a engine bay break down image or now the name of the linkage that goes from the end of the throttle cable to the butterfly valve?

Through nissan for some reason I doubt it. Is there a specific branch of nissan to ring for spare parts or should any branch be able to help? Might even price up a new oil bypass pipe for the skyline.

Edit: did a little interwebs sleuthing and yeah probably under $10.

Metro Nissan @ Windsor and Village Nissan @ Petrie I have found both to be very helpful, as long as you can give them the part number.

Their willingness to look up part numbers for imports though will depend on who you speak too, their mood, the time of day, alignment of the planets, etc.

    • I thought Australia got rid of the "drag dodgy fuel up to 91 RON with ethanol", which is why all E10 advertise as "up to 94 RON" ? Anyway I put E10/91 in the missus' Mazda because she empties the tank weekly, when all my cars get 98RON. tl;dr - turbo - 98 RON, if you can't afford that, sell it and get a commuter car (or tune your car for 91, which no one does).
    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
