they better not do the f'ing car scenes in f'ing CGI again....

Of course they'll do CGI again, but more of it, the producers arnt trying to make a legit car racing movie, its all about glamorising everything up, entertainment! They'll probably have a car drive upside down or something stupid in the 3rd movie... hahah

Yeh i spose they aint so bad for the sheer hot chick and fast car appeal

but im more for a good story, real acting and most of all good cars.

I hate it how they just wake up and theres a brand new '10 sec' whatever ready for them to drive.. Ide rather them spend 30 mins of the movie showing the car getting put together while blending in some character story then actually getting into the action and main plot. That way we know the characters well, we've seen the work get put into the car etc

not just " these are your cars for today " now race to here and get my cigar

pfff

yeah cos the audience is really going to wait around for half an hour at the beginning of the film while the guys builds his car...:)

These films are pitched at the mtv 2 second attention span audiences, they are not going to waste time getting into anything, besides, a film usually always starts with a 10 minute opening action sequence to kick off the first act and get the audience pumped, so bring on teh upside down driving cars:P

m8 i was just reading the thread, aint no harm in that. its not like i was studying the dates. i wasnt searching  4 anything btw

dude, all in fun, hence the 3 x " :D " - relax, we're not racing for pink slips :headspin:

lol... the mistakes in part one were good...

The one i particularly liked was when Paul walker brings the RZ supra into Dominic's garage (the ****ed up one) and dominic starts talking bout how shit it is... then they pop the hood and see the sorry lookin Twin Turbo JZ engine and dominics like "i retract my previous statement"

What the **** was he expecting under the hood of an RZ supra??

Sorry,

I am an Ex- Toyota Nut

Have a closer look at this scene,

When they pop the hood, the motor is in fact a 2jz-ge not a 2jz - gte......

An RZ supra youre kidding right.......

All the parts that they have on the floor ready to place in the car are for a 2 JZ -GTE..... Funny that....

Also in the second movie you see paul walker racing his evo done the freeway.... But when he changes gear, the pedal shot is from a GTR......... How many EVO's have a R on the pedals.... Hmmmmmmmm

It's all Poo!

As has been discussed in other threads, GTR pedals can flow over 500hp stock, it is a good upgrade for an evo :D

ah man 40 minutes to read this thread from start!(i'm that bored)

hrmm... first of all, i am so gonna watch this movie just like the previous 2. all the people that are bagging this movie and the previous, i'd like to see you make one... and for the people that bag the cars.. i'd like to see YOUR car in it! wtf is wrong with hondas or any of the other cars in the movies, i love all cars...cept aussie cr@p and 'american muscles' oh and most of yous that are dissing the movie prolly never even think of getting an import til you saw the movie... so many things i can say because i really dislike brainless people bagging the movie like that and other cars but i ain't gonna bother....

im not sure if it was legend of speed but once on world movies (just after fast and furious 1 came out) i saw a japanese street racing movie and it wasnt too bad. I think the bad guys were driving wrx sti's and i think the good guy street racer was driving an evo 6 plus he had a few other cars coz he was some rich bloke...i think he had a gtr on a hoist in his gargage but dont think he raced in it

is that the one where the guy in the evo flips his car while racing the STI, and he's like full dying (lol) and the guy is like "the rae has not finished" :headspin:

pretty sure i saw a little bit of it

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
