Silvia S15's cam in base models and Autech models.

Spec S came with 5 speed manuals or 4 speed Autos.

Spec R came in 6 speed manuals and I think Auto as well but ADM.

Autech models I heard come in both, manual and auto.

Is there a model thats NA and not autech? Like just a sr20

LOl, No, I am talking about a hardtop s15 pretty much like the autech version, without the autech if you get that?

Yes, in Japan, they were the Spec-S'.

Almost, Were the cars Autech tuned made especially for them for that reason? If not were there detuned versions for sale for say a NA s15 silvia

The Varietta was built by Autech and based on the Spec-S model.

Powered by a SR20DE (N/A, same as the Spec-S in Japan) and with a choice of the 4-speed automatic or the 5-speed manual.

Was released with a retractable hard top.

Autech specifically tune Nissan cars.

It was founded in 1986 as a subsidiary of Nissan.

They also tune the engines for the Nismo R34 GTR and 350Z JGTC GT500 cars.

Ok So s15's sold in Australia spec S and spec R were both sr20det, while the s15 spec S in japan was NA and the spec R -det.

Edit: Just read somewhere else that jap s15 spec S sr20de isn't allowed to be imported, Would that still qualify for sevs import or just not at all?

I believe so.

You will have check with the Car Importing business.

ie, go and ask an import dealer or PM Iron Chef or Carizma International on here (SAU).

If they cannot not be imported, they might explain why both of the ADM S15 Spec - S and Spec - R's are turbo.

The local Nissan dealer must did a bit of a marketing and took Spec - R's, badge them as Spec-S', removed add on parts like the spoiler and sold them cheaper.

They imported the Spec - R sold them for more and would have had all the add on parts.

Then the Spec - R GT came out.

Spec - R GT = Spec - R but with a larger rear spoiler and shiny metal add on parts and I think leather seats.

Mostly cosmetic changes I think.

    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
    • Just like in being 14mm too small (296mm) makes it not fit, being 14mm too big (324mm) it also won't fit. You want to find the correct rotor.
    • @GTSBoy Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33) Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear). They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit. I have 17inch LMGT4s So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?
    • I started removing the tank a while back with the intent to give it a proper clean. Got to a bolt that I couldn't undo completely due to a diff being in the way, so just said f**k it and siphoned the gluggy old fuel out and called it a day. Looking it the tank it looks less corroded than the one in the pics for that billet hanger from Frenchy's anyway. Isn't it the fuel filters job to worry about this stuff? I scraped off most the crusty shit of the hanger but will give it another go before reinstall coz maybe the fuel and return pipes are also full of gunk
    • Pretty sure it is a common fault. I believe this is the only part you need, but don't quote me as I don't have a V36.  I also believe it is a bit of a pain to change and the device needs to be encoded to the car once it is replaced, so may need someone with the right tools.
