This does my head in. The tests done and the symptoms reported (such as fuel still flooding cylinders with the fuel rail and injectors up off the engine) only supports the single theory - which is that the fuel is going in through the inlet manifold. Which means straight through the reg and down the vacuum hose.

Pretty much nothing else fits. The fact that a second reg did the same thing does not negate the theory. Try again. This time, close/clamp/block the signal line from the reg to the plenum, or even better, leave it open and point it at your face (so you can see the fuel coming out at you at high speed).

Straight down the reg and out the vacuum hose... so the vacuum hose from the FPR is still connected? If so, i've heard of FPR's breaking their vacuum plate and letting fuel flow straight through it into the vacuum hose. Disconnect or clamp it off?

I read this first because my car wouldn't start a couple of days ago after parking it in the morning. I've since deduced that my fuel pump has died and I have *no* fuel being squirted into the mix.
