My R33 gtst series 2 sold today. Only 6 days after put it on carsales. The demand for good conditioned r33's is still there. First person who looked at the car literally freaked out of how good it's condition was and rushed to the bank to get the money out.

I hope the new owner treats her well. I miss the old girl already :(

If I do get another Nissan it'll be a 370z, G37 or a 2009 or newer R35 but I haven't looked yet, I didn't expect the car to sell so quick, from what the buyer told me there are so many shit conditioned ones on the market at the moment, I should have asked more for mine then lol.

Yeah I'll post pics when I get to a pc. But it is on carsales at $12999 with 102 000km Milage from castle hill nsw if you are curious.

so your still getting lots of interest to fend off now you have sold it?

did you sell it close to the advertised price?

curious as have one myself in what i consider ok nick. If i could afford to upgrade yet i would..

Awesome looking car mate. If you sold it for near the asking price you'd be cheering! Did you have it detailed or anything beforehand? Was it your daily?

Given the cars in your garage (well from reading the supercar thread) I guess you're not short on adrenaline!!

 lol I must have forgotten to post the link in my post lol. Yes that is the correct link.

Nope not short on adrenaline, also means I have the means to maintain all of my cars in exceptional condition. Obviously the guy who bought my car could see it was in great condition.

I got super close to asking price, I have been out of the skyline scene for a while so I was unaware of how many shotty crappy ones are out there running around at the moment. If I knew that the standard of these cars has generally dropped this far I would have asked more for mine to begin with. Nope didn't have it detailed at all, just gave it a wash with megures car was soap (the yellow one), vaccumed the inside, wiped down the plastic/dash with a wet chamois and tyre shine. The bare minimum for preparation.

It used to be my daily but for the last 12 months it had only been getting less than 100km/week, it became the shopping car and general carpark car

With some due credit to you Tom, your wording of the advert was very good, explaining all the info that a prospective buyer would want and to push him to at least have a look.

Could have done it much better, took me 15 minutes from go to woah. Basically Just went through everything I want to know myself when looking for a used Skyline. Wasn't proof read or anything, I would have revised it if I didn't have any nibbles.

sold the fezza too ?

Yeah they are too slow and too common these days with all the imports Comming in because of our strong $$$ ATM.

Finally I see you are back in Aus Albert. Now your Facebook check ins won't come from places I don't know lol.

Ooh what's the new car?

I was going to get a 370z, 370gt skyline, or a 2010 R35. But in the last week I am needed for business in Europe so I take off next week, no return date set yet. So my proposed next daily driver is on hold at least until I come back to Aus.

Depending how long I stay over there will determine if I just buy a daily driver there instead or just keep flogging euro rental cars. Never driven on the left side of the road before except for on the Greek islands on a quad bike a few years ago... Fingers crossed aye...

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
