Up for Sale is a STD R34 GTR intercooler core.

I bought it off one of the SAU:SA execs years ago for my 32 GTR

i have had it on my GTR which produced over 360rwkw with it.

it is in great condition, looks much better than the STD 32/33 cores because its not sprayed black.

Looks cool from the front.

NOTE: will not fit a 34 GTR because the I/C sensor bung has been plugged and welded.

$350.00 excl postage

Hi mate,

Just wondering how much use the intercooler has had.

Would you be able to post to SYD? and if i could get a couple of photos to [email protected]

Also, i would be replacing the stock 32 Gtr intercooler, will this bolt on directly to existing piping etc?

Thanks mate.

JD.

Yeah mate,

this cooler will bolt straight on, no modifications needed. just take off old one and put on the 34 GTR one.

I'll try and get some photo's to you over the weekend.

i would say that the cooler has had maybe 60,000kms useage in its life.

there are no bent fins or damage to the core or end tanks.

you'll see when i get the pics to you that its in pretty decent condition.

you'll definitely like it better than the STD 32 GTR one, just cause its more visible not being black, and the 34 GTR cores are said to flow better.

people have made up to 380kw with them, i had this one to 370kw

Hey mate,

Thanks for the reply.

Pretty keen as i want a stock Intercooler as trying to keep the car clean and off radar but also a street weapon.

Have read up, the 34 GTR intercooler is quite a bit superior to the older ones, slightly larger and better looking as you said.

If you can get me the photos am very keen as i said.

Next issue would be shipping and a deal.

Email me some pics this weekend and lets talk.

Thanks mate,

JD.

p.s. if you had any photos with it on the car would be awesome just to get an overall feel.

I dont mind posting it interstate

I dont have any photo's from the front of the car.

the best ones i could find are attached. they're not very good and the car was dirty at the trackday.

will look on the camera at home, might be some still on that?

I'll get some pics of it tonight.

Here are some pics

as you can see the core is in pretty good condition, no big bends in the fins. its a little dirty mainly cos i havent cleaned it since it was taken off by the mechanic. but it does scrub up nicely.

here is one with it on the car

you can see the core is good.

also you can see where the bung for the temp sensor in a R34 GTR has been welded up because the R32 GTR doesn't have the sensor, as well as R33 GTR's

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
