Hi all,

I have a one-month window coming up in a few days during which time I plan on getting my engine rebuilt properly. I am desperately seeking a set of ARIAS RB25DET *NEO* forged pistons; these must be a copy of the OEM piston, not an off-the-shelf variety (these are all for '33).

I am aware of a set of CP NEO pistons being sold on here however they are 86.5mm (first oversize) which my block already is, so I would need a new block to use those.

I have contacted SPOOL imports but the guys is on annual leave. Ordering through an Australian supplier who doesn't have any in stock will incur the 4-6 week wait while they are made in and delivered from ARIAS' facility in the US.

Anyone know where I can get a set at short notice? Yes I've tried ebay...

cheers

DaveB

if you honestly need them just do a google search and ring/email every single shop you find.

this is what i would do, even email ARIAS direct? might find they have a set there/ or being made as we speak

air express ahould only take 5-7days max?

I will try; the engine builder I consulted says that these are a custom order and that ARIAS do not have any stock. Which is the same story I seem to be getting from the other retailers...

ohh bummer then

i guess asking arias yourself could be the only answer to see if there available or not.

not looking at other brands?

Yes looking at other brands... only other ones I've heard of are Wiseco and CP; CP are apparently OK but I haven't asked the builder about Wiseco. I wouldn't even know where to get these from as I don't know if they have the custom measurements on file for RB25 NEO.

Pistons can be organized VERY quickly.

Ring up Quantum Racing in Brisbane, they're the CP importers, give them the specs and tell them its a rush order and you need them as fast as humanly possible.

With custom pistons they can be done very quickly, the price goes up by a percentage based on how rushed they are. With JE from memory its 50% surcharge for a 48hour turnaround, then express air mail which takes about a week door to door.

Expect to spend more than $900, but you will get them done in time.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
