Hahah say Whaaaaaat? (what pronounced with a rising intonation..not sure how to put that in text form..)

all those posts about the weather made me think of it hence wondering if now its closer that anyone has a more accurate forecast but my bad for not elaborating.

as for numbers, same thing. Thought a few more might have confirmed/dropped out since and someone could be bothered doing a new count?

The posts about the weather were done the night before your 3am post... that's what I was saying... how much do you think had changed? lol

Sean's keeping the 'attending' list up to date.

Anyway................. :P

oh She mad

how much do you think had changed? lol

time for another well thought out near 3 am post i think..weather could have changed HEAPS in one night, for all i know since last time some guru looked at a sattelite map a butterfly could have flapped its wings in Japan and caused a ripple in the space-time continum resulting in gale force winds in Penrith on sunday and ...and...

yeah i guess i am kinda weird.

Beer and pies on me this wknd!

(for the first 3 to make it to the rest stop)

guys,

I heard from a mate of mine dont know if here is scaring me or not, he saids that this Official Club organise crusie there is a high possiblity there is gonna be some highway patrols are waiting for us !! it will be really sad if we bump into one of those !! have you guys had any of those experience in the past ??

cheers

Highway patrol do exist in the mountains (surprise) they have 2 marked and 2 unmarked falcadores.

Megalong Valley Rd doesnt need cops to patrol it because the cliff on 1 side and rock face onthe other side is enough to take care of lunatic drivers!

u can hear the ocean if i put my ear up to her..

Pat, I love hatin' on you... out of all the weirdos I know, you're my favourite!

*blush*

would the cops be targeting us ie. the cruise specifically Wlin or was he just giving you a general alert re the cops that are always there, im not too worried as all the cruises i have been on are conducted at barely 50kms/hr with all the people worried about getting lost, getting stuck behind trucks and skyline drivers too worried about scraping their rims/guards on the pot holes..

its on the hell night runs through their with just 3 or 4 cars that i have seen ..ahem, slightly higher speeds but thats usually so late at night all the public servants are in bed or having their last coffee for the night.

    • 12+ months passed so they have no obligation to do a warranty claim. It leaked from the rear circuit. Front circuit was fine, but I tried many times to bench-bleed and in-car bleed (wasted 1L of Penrite racing brake fluid) to no avail. Threw my old BM50 or whatever the standard R32 GT-R BMC is, brakes went back to normal. So from my very limited anecdotal experience, I cannot recommend HFM, even though a lot of their products looks good. Just my experience (I have a genuine Nissan BM57 in a box waiting to be installed now).
    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
